Located at 505 Beach Road, Golden Mile Food Centre #B1-34, Singapore 199583. My all time favourite and Number 1 Fried Hokkien mee in SG! So far, this is truly the best I’ve ever eaten, given our countless fried Hokkien Mee finds all around.. They have been around for many many years ago, used to be his father frying it, and now his son had taken over.. Used to be those small push cart stalls back in those days. They only serves in 1 size, $4/plate and you need to be patience to join the long Q but I could tell u that it’s all gona be worth it! There’s an unique strong fragrant aroma of their freshly cooked prawn Mee when served.. white bee hoon used were the thin kind unlike the usual thick bee hoon and they fried it the dry style! Oh, there’s prawns, squid and sliced pork in it too! This plate is the BOMBBB! It’s so heavenly mouth-watering that 1 plate is not enough for us! For all fried Hokkien mee fans out there, you have to try it yourself to know how good it is! We also love their chilli and chilli padi at the side too, you may stirred it in for another kind of taste! Truly the BEST Fried Hokkien Mee! #hungryunicornsg #hainanfriedhokkienprawnmee #friedhokkienprawnmee #friedhokkienmee #goldenmilefoodcentre
in my opinion, the best prata in Singapore can be found at Mr Mohgan’s Super Crispy Roti Prata. However, it only opens in the morning, and it is located at East Coast. I literally have to make a pilgrimage every time i go there. The west-side alternative to this would thus be Enaq prata, located at Jurong East and Ghim Moh.
The plain prata ($1) looks like a biscuit - shatteringly crisp exterior revealing fluffy, chewy prata. Though it isn’t quite as fragrant as the prata from Mr Mohgan’s, it beats the competition around it for miles (literally). Pair it with their sambal chili for a salty, spicy kick that is hard to beat 🤤
Each of the savoury crepes offered here (swipe to the end for the full menu) comes with assorted purple and orange sweet potato fillings, which is what @ufosgp specializes in, apart from the inhouse made crepe that’s adapted from an authentic French recipe! ✨ Within the soft, thin crepes lies a huge chunk of deep fried chicken cutlet, tender and succulent with a slightly crisp exterior, topped with a substantial amount of thick, creamy salted egg sauce. Would personally prefer for a higher intensity of saltiness and perhaps a greater tinge of spice but nevertheless, it was still a great combination with the chunks of sweet potato embedded within, along with a pleasant crunch of raw, crisp lettuce. The portion is deceiving though- seemed like a snack but it certainly suffice for a meal, especially when you opt for a beverage to go along with it! Featured here is the signature Yuzu plum soda, refreshing, slight fizzy with a citrusy note and a pleasant bubbling surprise lies beneath as the YOGURT POPPING BOBBA camouflaged itself and exploded with a burst as it pops in your mouth! 💥 It was indeed a challenge to guess the flavour of the popping bobbas 😅 .
.
Thanks @ufosgp for the invite to check out this Unusual Food Outlet- also a convenient takeaway kiosk that’s situated within Jurong Point Shopping centre- another option to enjoy a quick bite while rushing for my lessons in NTU 👍🏻 .

If you are ever in the area, you have to give this hawker stall a try. Extremely tender chicken and the porridge so smooth it just slides down your throat.
One of the best fried chicken i have eaten till date! (Apart from the korean chimaek) Was give breast meat but the meat was so so tender 😍😍 It may seems to be quite oily but it does not give us a jelak feel even after eating 2 pieces of it!
Join the queue at this stall in Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre for the Soy Sauce Chicken Noodles (from $3). Tastemaker Acamas Teo declares it to be one of the tastiest versions of soy sauce chicken he's had, thanks to the smooth, flavourful skin and amazingly tender meat. The springy, al dente noodles are a nice bonus too. Ask for the chicken thigh for additional succulence! Add on the tasty Roasted Pork Belly (extra $1.50), but it's recommended that you focus on the stellar chicken instead. If you can't get enough, order half a chicken ($7, or $14 for whole) to feast on till your heart's content.

On days when you're craving some meaty comfort, head to this stall in Taman Jurong Market & Food Centre for roast duck, roast pork and char siew, all of which will certainly hit the spot. Prices start from $3, but we recommend that you get a combination of all three meats ($5) instead. The roast duck is fragrantly spiced and succulent to the bite, with a slight smokiness to taste. The roast pork is chunky, and has a balanced ratio of meat and fat. Tastemaker ni eats loves how the char siew sports a lovely char around the edges as well as how they are melt-in-the-mouth tender. Try her tip to create the perfect chilli sauce — to balance out the spiciness of the nutty sambal chilli, add chicken rice chilli for sweetness! This DIY sauce goes really well the duck. Don't be shy to ask for more of the deeply-flavoured braised sauce — it pulls everything together into one meaty, sensational plate. Pro tip: The roasted meat sells out by 12:30pm, so make sure you come early for lunch!

For those who can't decide which to have, or simply just love both, you can get the best of both worlds at this store!
A small store tucked in the coffee shop near Pulau NTU is Fatty Weng Shi Tan; a store that sells orhlua (fried oysters) & carrot cake! The distinct flavors between the two makes it a fun switch between the two as you pick from black to white.
Excellent curry chicken puff! Crispy on the outside & the fillings inside are piping hot & comes with generous portions. Oh, and they are open 24 hours too, perfect if you have midnight curry puff cravings.
the first thing that intrigued me when I got this bowl of dry ban mian was the sous vide egg, which is something new as you don't see it often in Chinese dishes, less expectedly in a bowl of dry ban mian.
the ban mian itself was really qq and chewy, just like what I have expected from the appearance of it when I pick it up for a first bite.
the minced meat and mushrooms was really flavourful and savoury. I super love it as it gives a perfect touch to the overall dish.
For all the Lor Mee lovers out there, this is one that you wouldn't want to miss!
For the love of starchy gooey goodness, topped with crispy ngoh hiang, roasted pork belly & that chili to boot, Feng Zhen Lor Mee (#03-146) would be one that's worth the long queue.

Run by three ladies, the cai fan dishes here really taste like home cooked food. It's cai fan that you can eat everyday without feeling sick and tired of, and it's stuff you will crave when you are feeling down or just need a good plate of food to comfort you. A must order is the lor bak - fatty, juicy, you can tell it's a good braised meat when the flavour penetrates the meat and each bite is permeated with the sauce.
