my only gripe was the egg yolk was kinda over cooked but overall still delish 😋 every mouthful was a burst of flavours yumz
their butterfly pea rice not only looks good but it’s so fragrant, soft n fluffy too!! the chicken leg is juicy n tender, but the highlight is defo the rendang sauce!! it’s ridiculously creamy from the coconut milk, yet not jelak as it’s rly flavourful from the spices which helps to alleviate the richness. sambal leans on the sweet side, but still packs a lil punch. for just S$5.90, worth in its price n portion!
the fried chicken had thin, crisp skin which was not oily + the meat was tender and flavourful. the spiced watermelon was a gd refresher to cut thru its “heavier” counterparts. light and juicy w a tinge of sour and spicy yumz, and i don’t usually fancy watermelon 🤤🤤🤤
the added breadcrumbs as topping gave it a nice crunch amongst the soft chewy shells. rich and milky w a decent cheese pull, there’s nth not to love 🤤
the scallops were sweet and had the right amount of softness yet mantain its bite. it came accompanied w a medley of cruciferous veges and croutons in a brown butter sauce. as tasty and well executed it was, i mean u can literally count the florets in the vege medley 😅
the noodles were doused in a crustacean sauce which tasted like a concentrated prawn soup/lobster bisque concoction. the seafood was fresh and noodles were al dente, smt u can try if u r feelin asian
the meat was tender and juicy, amazing texture that complemented the fat that was melt in the mouth delicious + the natural jus enhanced the flavour profile. it’s totally worth every dollar paid for this amazingness.
the skin was light, crisp and flavorful, the meat itself was juicy and tender. it came w a bento box of rice, braised tofu, 2 kinds of veges, half an egg and a slice of tw sausage. the star is defo the chicken!!!! the rice is towards the dry side but it’s nth much to complain abt.
my favs wld be the garlic and the truffle one, whr the flavours were prominent but not overpowering. the cheese and crab roe was a lil too much for me and it kinda lost is essence as a bao. not bad for first try to sample everything or if u like variety + it looks cute but personally wld just order a basket full of the ones i like 😋
fam and i rated the food we had and unanimously the burnt chili chicken and lu rou were to die for 🤤 the chicken was tender w the spice being very flavorful but not overbearing and the lu rou was literally melt in the mouth. i personally rly liked the squid bc it was not rubbery as most places do it, and the fried eggplant was one of my favs too. shout out to the shiny rice it rly complemented the dishes well but i mean rice topped w garlic oil and lard what cld go wrong HAHA
basically high class charsiew HAHAHA it was so fatty honestly it melted in our mouths (in a good way) and the honey glaze was thick and sticky, engulfing each and every piece. it was really good, but i must say it was slightly too sweet for me and i started to get jelat of it towards the end
