TLDR; get better value for your buck and tummy elsewhere.
This was appalling small - about the size of a 50-cent coin! Yes, this is cheap at $1.50 but the quality was shocking and the rice mushed. The only things worth ordering here are still the salmon dishes.
This nondescript restaurant nestled inside a hotel’s lobby near Telok Ayer MRT serves a pretty worthwhile bowl of sashimi.
This was laden with thick slices of fresh sashimi atop furikake seasoned rice with a slight of vinegar. Came with grated wasabi and a side of miso soup. 100/100 for amazing value and quality!!!!!!
PS Typically goes for $30 (w/o taxes), but got this on a 1 for 1 deal :-)
This bowl was surprisingly not very memorable. Think it the batter that was a slight miss because it wasn’t too crispy! Apart from that, each tempura item was good but nothing really stood out - the large prawn and vegetables sufficiently sweet, the anago (sea eel, not the usual freshwater unagi) safely yummy but meh and understated. Wouldn’t have been good without the sauce.
Had this at a bargain on a 1 for 1 offer from Jpassport!

I love complex flavours and cheap food :-)
