Found another favourite from Just Dough. Generous curry chicken fillings and it comes with a freaking egg too! Slightly spicy for me but the curry flavour is definitely a thumb up for me. Skin is fluffy as usual even after keeping in the fridge for a day.
Great shoutout to Baonow’s tau sar bao! Super fluffy skin with great texture. Generous red bean paste goes into the bao too! Given the size and the generous filling, it’s definitely worth the price. They are selling in a pack of 6 for $8 that is great for sharing with a family.
Yay! Peanut bun is back at Just Dough, pls stay as a perm item! Nice and crunchy peanut fillings witb bits of almonds! Super generous, love it! 😍
Hailing from Hokkaido, this japanese bakery was one of the pioneer bakery that has set up a flagship store in Singapore. Toasted it beforehand and the outer crust was crispy and the bun was soft and warm on the inside. However, the walnut bits wasn’t alot though.
Matcha red bean loaf from Muyoo. Soft loaf with matcha and sweet potato swirl. There are also red bean to enhance the both sweetness and taste!
White bread spread with kaya and cheese before steaming it till super soft. Love the sweet savoury taste of the bread 👍🏼
The matcha powder topping was kind of sweet but quite artificial which doesn’t goes very well with the natural sweetness from the red bean. Bread was definitely soft!
Chocolate infused bread with chocolate and cream cheese filling. Love the chocolate sweetness but the cream cheese was abit too much for me. Probably is because i am not really a cream cheese person.
Soft bun with old school coconut filling. Coconut was mixed with gula melaka that enhances the fragance flavour and add on the sweetness.
The third flavour from the Sunshine Wholemeal bun series. It’s a very chocolatey bread with chocolate bits. The bread itself was also in chocolate flavoured.
Oops! Can’t wait to bite into this piece of childhood memory. Selling at $1 for a thick slice filled with thick slab of garlic butter.
Similarly to the red quinoa bun, flax seeds were spread across the bun and added the crunch on to the texture. Best to have it toasted before eaten!
