$1.50! always heat up the breads from almond bakery in the microwave (with water for 45s) to get the FLUFFIEST BREAD omg. so soft and fluffy and felt like I was eating a cloud, but still had a nice bite and chew to it. the filling didnβt taste exactly like char siew - had some mock meat pieces but missing the sweet honey and roasted flavour. but still good on its own tho! love their breads but always can only buy one at a timeπ’
This is prob the only bread that I may go back for if i am around the area. The black sesame is not the super sweet kind, and also pretty fragrant. Thankfully it also helps a lot with the dry bread >
Bread was dry and stale (maybe bc i ate it the next morning). They added pepper onto the paste.. not sure if it was intentional or not but it was gross haha
Salty tau sar piah in vegetarian version. Love the fragance and savoury taste of this pastry. Furthermore, its not dry at all!
New on the shelf, looks similar to those teochew yam filling mooncake but in a smaller version. Love the balanced taste between the sweetness of the yam filling and savoury pastry skin. The skin itself was not too flaky and not too dry.
Nice and fragance black sesame filling that was not too sweet. Slightly savoury and the pastry was baked into a triangle shape. Nice try by the bakery, its always full of surprise with their new and innovative bakes!
