One of the best fish soups I had in SG. The soup itself was full of flavor and not too heavy. The yee mee added an extra level and the added fried egg took made it taste out of this world. Overall it was really shok.
Pro Tip: Dont forget to add the $2 fried egg

If you guys follow me then you know Founder’s Bak Ku Teh is one my top Bak Ku Teh places but this time I have found a place even better. And everyone agrees.
The Ng Ah Sio Bak Kut Teh at Rangoon Road has to be hands down the best Bak Ku Teh I had till date. The difference from the other places is their soup which is thicker in consistency and also way more peppery. So you can imagine why I like it so much. The portions were also more. The meat was tender and juicy and falls off the bone. Their sides of pork kidney and braised eggs were also really good.

Pro Tip: They serve unlimited soup so don’t stop.

For a light flavor punching fish soup head down to the fish soup store at Tai Sun Eating House. It is not hard to find this small shop amidst other stores as this one has the longest queue.
Ordered the small fish soup and I have to say it was really shiok. The broth was light and full of flavor and the fish was not smelly and cooked perfectly.

Pro Tip: Add their deep fried fish eggs for an amazing crunch and full of flavor for just 50c extra.

Hot pork soup is one of the most comforting things to get on a cold rainy day and Founder’s Bak Kut Teh is on top of my list.
Their soup is the pepper clear soup and not the herbal kind with good portions of meat in the soup. The meat is tender and juicy with the soup being hot and peppery. Just the thing you need on a cold rainy day. The side dishes of eggs and veggies are also really good.

Pro Tip: Founder’s have a lunch time set menu for $8.90 (Short Ribs with one side and rice) and $11.90 ( Premium Ribs with one side and rice). Both comes with unlimited soup, just ask.

One of the best yong tau foo i had. I was never a bug fan of this dish but now this place changed that. Though the long queue the dish was exceptionally good. All the ingredients was fresh and the size was just big enough. They have 2 sizes small one for $4.50 and the big one for $5.50. #bestyongtaufoo
