Korean BBQ
Marinated beef ribs ($28 for 180g) and beef deckle ($29.90 for 180g)
I've had Korean BBQ at Super Star K before and it was quite decent - this was no exception. We ordered the fatty beef deckle (slices of unmarinated meat) as well as the marinated beef ribs. The ribs in particular were super tasty.
Beef Combo [$130/M], Pork Combo [$115/M], Pork Belly [$19], Seafood Pancake [$20], Somac (Soju Tower) [$45].
Beef Combo includes:
Thin-Slices Prime Brisket
Prime Beef Boneless Short Rib
Prime Beef Rib Finger
Marinated Prime Short Rib
Marinated Chicken
Pineapple & King Oyster Mushroom
Kimchi Stew & 4 pcs Beef Sushi.
Pork Combo includes:
Special Pork Neck
Pork Belly
Marinated Pork Collar
Pork Skirt Meat
Marinated Chicken
Pineapple & King Oyster Mushroom
Kimchi Stew & 4 pcs Pork Sushi.
Thin-Slices Prime Brisket seriously is EXTRAORDINARY Thinnnnnnnnnnnnn 🤦🏻♀️ and why do we even have Chicken in our both Combo? 🤷🏻♀️
Combo meat portions are small although we already ordered both size Medium. We have total of 4 pax sharing the Beef Combo and we ordered 2 ala carte Pork belly. Pork Combo shared by 3 pax.
Good location in CBD area but pricy meat $19 for a 1 small pieces of Pork Belly seriously expensive. Maybe due to the "Prime" words stated on every Beef meat.
Egg is complimentary for the first round, subsequently will be $3 per round.
Somac (Soju Tower) already mixed when they bring to your table. What I can taste is beer and a "mild" soju. :)
Well, Exploring new places :)
Prices stated before SC, no GST.
With quality banchan/side dishes framing the authentic-style charcoal grill, I finally had the chance to try out the free-flow egg + crabmeat mix that were poured out from a golden kettle, how impressive!
.
Some dishes we got were the Herb Wine Pork Belly ($20) which I strongly recommend, don't think there's anything else better than this, as well as Pork Shoulder Butt ($18) - still unsure whether it's shoulder or butt but whatever, it tasted freshly imported and man, you got to wrap these all with the lettuce & sides.
Ala carte orders include Cold Noodle Soup ($10) & Pork with Potato Soup ($35). Wanted to try the spicy chicken stew which wasn't available in their dinner menu but this pot gives the flavours of a lifetime & perhaps the best euphoria I haven't had in awhile 💕
Another highlight would be their extremely large (bigger than the grill you see) Seafood Pancake ($18), served on bamboo-woven tray, it goes extremely well with the kimchi & meat. Though when that arrived on our table our first thought was "Oh no I hope we're beyond starving." & To be honest, I had to takeaway half of that home - still spreading the remaining portion out for dinner tonight.
.
Overall, the Korean vibes were definitely strong here, awesome atmosphere (if you don't count the smoke) & convenient remote-based service. For those who saw my snaps would know I had a real hard time dealing with a true food coma 101 😂
Anyway, great giant absolute thanks to @RubbishEatRubbishGrow, @GraylingSG & #KoreanRestaurantGuide for this celebratory meal at @WangDaeBakBBQ 🙆🏻 Much appreciated.

P.S. Hope everyone's enjoying Sunday! I always preach "Eat well" - that's the key to happiness.
Our choice are Wine, Miso, Kalbi & Red Pepper Paste. All are so tasty but our favorites are Wine that has a very nice fragrance & Red Pepper Paste that brings out the sweetness of the meat.

This is not the usual pork. It comes from the Mangalitza Hog, a rare pig of Hungarian origin that has a thick woolly coat.
🐷
This is the best pork belly I ever had for BBQ. So superbly soft & not tough at all! With double the marbling of regular pork, no wonder Mangalitza is often referred to as the 'Kobe Beef' of pork!
🐷
You can eat heartily away as it contains more unsaturated fatty acids and so it is lower in cholesterol and digests more easily. Its fats melts at a temperature lower than regular pork fat and this makes it so tender and juicy!

We can’t stop dipping our meats into the layer of melted cheese. The creaminess is hard to resist. You’ll be glad to know that SEORAE uses authentic top-notch white charcoal which gives a stronger smoky flavour to their meats.
