Famed for its Friendship Cake (RM10), this jasmine infused chiffon cake with coffee caramel sauce shouldn’t be missed. It was soft and fluffy with just the right amount of jasmine flavour. Paired with the thick caramel, it was a delightful light dessert. On the heartier side, Stage offers panini, sandwiches and salads as well.

With their fast wifi and plug points at certain spots, you’ll definitely see at least a couple of people on their laptops throughout the day. Food and coffee here is excellent. I would recommend the potato waffles (RM24) or granola (RM18) for something lighter. If you’re into something sweet, give The King (RM13) a try. You won’t regret it.

Tip: Park at Swiss Garden Residence and get your ticket validated by VCR.

Pretty sure you would have heard VCR opened their new outlet on Jalan Telawi 3. The menu differs slightly with a couple of new dishes. Give the Pennsylvania Soul (RM25) a try for a good hearty brunch. Potato waffles with 4 pieces of juicy fried chicken with chrysanthemum syrup drizzle. Another new dish would be the Polenta Shrooms (RM25). This dish surpassed my expectations with the flavourful creamy polenta, mushrooms, crispy crumble and hazelnuts. ,
Yes, fast wifi is provided as well so you can get some work done after a good meal. There’s also couple of plug points at the sides.

Tip: Park at Bangsar Village 2 and it’s only a short walk away.

This two storey cafe is lined from floor to ceiling with glass walls allowing natural light to flow through. The cafe is pretty quiet during weekdays with only one or two tables occupied on my previous visits there. Stable wifi and plug points are provided. No hot food is served here but there’s a range of cakes and tarts available. Their crowd’s favourite, Chocolate Sea Salt Cake (RM15) is a must try.
Parking is no issue here.

Jam & Kaya is located within the PJ Palms Sports Centre. Apple Crumble Pancake (RM17.90). The light and fluffy pancakes were so good on their own, but brought up to another level when paired with the sweet sour caramelised apples, crunchy crumble and apple sauce. Unfortunately, they do not provide wifi but there are a number power sockets around. This cafe would definitely be one of my top places to go for some quiet me time. Ample of private parking space on the right with a fee of RM5 for all day parking.

Located within the vicinity of EX8 lies a two level space cafe serving mainly coffee and cakes. Lots of natural sunlight streaming through, perfect for Instagram photos. My most frequent order would be a cappuccino (RM11 ). The intense coffee kick is just what I need to kick start the day. Greyskymorning is probably the place I visit most when I need to get work done. Head up to the second floor if you prefer a quieter setting.

Tip: 9am-11am, RM5 for black and RM7 for white.

It’s spacious and has an industrial cozy vibe. Everything is pretty much self service here, from ordering to collection of food and drinks. Wifi is available but it disconnects sometimes unfortunately. The place is dimly lit so best time get some reading done would be daytime where there’s more lights coming in.

Clean, minimalistic cafe in Avantas Residence. If you need a break from work, have a chat with the friendly baristas. Food-wise, I would highly recommend the Beef Bolognese (RM26). Pasta cooked to perfection and filled with tasty beef. Yum!

Tucked away from the bustling side of Bangsar, Grind22 is the perfect place to be for an relaxing afternoon. Give their signature Nona Latte or Baba Latte, a twist from the usual coffee. If you’re hungry, head to the back to WokIt for an affordable lunch. As the space is quite small, it can be packed during peak hours, but so far I’ve never had trouble getting a seat there.

Equipped with wifi, ample of plug points and long opening hours, this spacious wood themed cafe is ideal for work/study.
Ojo has a wide range of hot food on their menu, from a healthy salad, to sweet waffles or hearty burgers. They have an array of baked goods at the counter too. Drink wise, interesting options such as the pina colada bubble gum and java chip cheese oreo are available or you can opt for the regular coffee.
