Yishun
This place used to be called Takumi by Sushiro. It is now rebranded and known as Ryori by Sushiro. They only serve cooked dons here. If you're looking for bara chirashi don, head the the actual Sushiro outlet.
Seating is very limited, but that's ok cos at dinner time the restaurant (or should I say food stall?) isn't even half filled. You order and pay via a touchscreen cashier and food is promptly served. No accompanying miso soup, just whatever don you ordered.
Nestled at a corner of the new Yishun Park Hawker Centre, this pancake & waffles stall attracts crowd with its novelty of having original, matcha, and charcoal batters with ~10 different fillings to choose from (including yam, cream cheese, and durian). Priced at $1.20 per piece (even the most traditional-styled ones), the pancakes are way overpriced because they taste exactly like their 70cents counterparts. The charcoal and matcha batters (as pictured) did not add another dimension of flavour to the pancakes as well; they're merely just for colours.
We loved spaciousness of the place and that it was very well-ventilated. There was plenty of parking lots as well as tables.
Attracted by the prawns and curry, we tried the Ipoh Curry Noodles’ signature seafood and crispy pork belly. The curry had enough heat and was flavourful. We added cheese for a Korean-touch of cheesy curry taste. Loved that the seafood was fresh and nicely cooked, also loved the generous serving of crispy pork belly that was really tasty.
Also tried Ah Tan’s popular Har Jeong Gai chicken rice. Chicken was yummy, crispy outside and juicy inside.
Quite a wide range of hawker food available while these 2 stood out and certainly lived up to our expectations. Would return to try others.
This Congee stall offers a very unique dish - Gong Bao (宫保) Seafood. It goes very well with their signature porridge. Spicy, fresh and absolutely delectable! A very nice rendition of the usual gong Bao chicken! And it comes with a freshly fried whole youtiao :D
It was so crunchy and crispy, and you get 3 pieces of the chicken cutlets accompany with a fried egg for only $5.90.
Morning breakfast with a bowl of handmade Fishball Noodles. All their fishballs and fishcakes are handmade with 100% pure fish meat!

But anyway!! First KopiPass experience at Nook and Cranny (formerly Five by Five) went pretty well

Tried their recommended Chicken Bleu ($15.50): boneless chicken thigh stuffed with bacon and cheese served with orzo rice pasta and salad. Dk what herbs they baked the chicken in but wow 👍🏻👍🏻 For the Truffled Mac and Cheese ($14.50): the truffle oil really worked its magic here. This was my fave!!

Tasted this bowl of laksa for only $3.30(L)!! Situated at the central of yishun! The bowl of laksa is really less oily but veryy flavourful! Quite a few noodles selections which caters to mostly all with many ingredients added! Indeed it was fragrant and the hint of the spicy flavour was just nice and acceptable! Everything was pleasing and the after effect was heartwarming! Worth the try! Do queue early as i waited 15 mins for this! But worth it! #BurppleMajulahMakan
Comes with beancurd, bitter gourd, brinjal, fish ball, fried beancurd skin, fried quail egg, fried wanton, lady’s finger and tonnes of kangkong drenched in their secret tasty gravy. This definitely comes at a affordable price for a filling and hearty meal at just $4/pax and $0.50 for each bowl of rice. I would like to visit again but it’s quite inconvenient via public transport right now. Looking forward to the future Springleaf Station (TEL) that would help to bring more convenience to this place 》 $9 / 2 Pax
