This is one of those comfort dish that hugs you from the inside and reminds you of your mom's home cook meals. The soup, in spite of its clear appearance, was wonderfully smooth, sweet and extremely flavourful. The chicken itself is cooked so thoroughly that it is fell off the bone tender. A dish that will never fail to perk me up whenever I feel tired after a long day at work or when I am feeling under the weather.
One of their signature dish. The fish is fried till deep golden brown. Very crunchy! Reminds me of the texture of popcorn. The tomato based sauce has a kick of vinegar in it for that sweet and sour taste. Have this with a steaming hot bowl of rice, your favourite vegetable dish and maybe a bowl of ABC soup. A meal that is like a hug. Something I need after a long day.
Marinaded pork chops sliced thin, cooked and lightly battered before deep frying till golden brown. The batter is fried till perfection with a delicate, crispy, and beautiful texture. Cut into these golden balls and you will be greeted with a another golden surprise! The sunshine-gold salted egg yolk adds taste and texture to it without overpowering the flavours from the marinated pork. RM10
The name of this dish does not do it justice. Actually it is very big in size. The sweet and nutritiously tasting broth is infused in the chicken while it cooks. As a result, the chicken is very fall-off-the-bone tender and it taste superbly delicious.

This dish present a very bright and lovely hue of golden colour. Even without garnish, the dish looks so tempting just as it is. The salted egg yolk sauce thickly coats the sotong and it fabulously melt-on-your-tongue as you eat it. RM30
Pork meat coated in a glistening sea of thick jet black marmite sauce. The sticky caramelised marmite sauce is sweet and very aromatic. Its like having dessert while having your main meal. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone ? Lols
Meng Heong signature 'Dry Assam Fish' is extremely refreshing on the palate. Its name 'dry' is a little misleading as the presence of the dressing is not even close to being dry. Unlike the conventional more liquid type of Assam, the ones here are thicker, somewhat similar to cream and is made with everything sour, creating a rich, tangy dressing. The Assam is the highlight of this dish. It is highly scented, extremely flavourful and very colourful that will not only satisfy your tastebuds but also your eyes and nose. I can feel my mouth salivating even before it hits my lips. It is one of those straight up IN-YOUR-FACE kinda dish that will leave you crave for more. RM40+
