Puchong Eats
BMS Signature Nasi Lemak (RM12.90).
Using coconut oil in the wholesome brown rice, organic spices in the spicy sambal with the delicious pumpkin rendang makes up a delicious meal.
The restaurant was still quite empty when we went around 6.30pm but quickly filled with patrons by 7pm. Definitely suggest to go slightly earlier.
In frame: Dry vermicelli w/ grilled pork and spring rolls (RM9.80). The fried spring rolls had an addictive umami flavour, really delicious! Overall, a good dish. I would be back to try other stuff on the menu.
Tucked in a quiet part of Puchong, Mimi Nguyen is run by a Malaysian and his Vietnamese wife, serving up good authentic Vietnamese food. The menu is extensive with variety of Bahn Mi, snacks, noodles, rice with pork, fish, chicken dishes as well as BBQ menu at night. Prices are wallet friendly too with an average price of RM10.
In frame: Vietnamese spring rolls (RM7.80).
Pork, vegetables and shrimp stuffed with vermicelli. Totally worth the price.
A hidden gem in Puchong serving up Malaysian's favourite breakfast - toast, eggs, nasi lemak and coffee. Besides that, they do have pasta dishes and daily set lunch (RM8.50) that changes daily.
In frame: Roti bakar (RM2.20), half boiled eggs (RM2.80) and kopi o (RM2.50). Absolutely loved it. Bread was generously slathered with kaya and butter, perfect eggs and piping hot coffee. Would have preferred the long rectangular bread instead though.
