We found Omoomo while wandering around Suntec City. This is their Ji-Ji Don ($10) that comprises of 3 different kind of Chicken - Spicy Chicken, Teriyaki Chicken and Soy Garlic Winglets. The Soy Garlic Wings was the best - fragrant, crispy and savoury. Spicy Chicken was kinda dry so i didn't enjoy it in comparison. The rice had some kind of spicy powder that kicks the tastebuds. +$5 and you get a side dish and drink. The price for lunch during weekends is $32++/adult (we quote "ladyironchef" and got an additional 25% off). Most of the dishes we saw on LIC's blogpost was not served on our visit yesterday (eg. BKT mee sua/Lobster/Crab/Thosai/La la). Probably they serve it for dinner? Idk. I wished there was a disclamer on this 😭 To name the few items we enjoyed, it would be their Chicken Satay, Cream of Chicken Soup and Lime Cake. Other dishes tastes really average (eg. Oyster Omelette was okay but can't be compared to Hawker standards). The food served was NOT horrible but i guess LIC set the standard too high up. Therfore the disappointment. Unfortunately, we did not feel that this buffet is worth recommending or returning for. What i LOVE though, was their Mash Potato. It was creamy and smooth - oh! so perfect 😋 We waited for a good 40mins before we were served our food (which was quite long imo). Beers are $10nett before 8pm and 3 bottles for $13 before 6pm 🍺 There are also live band performances here. Rookery Big Breakfast has Bacon, Sausage, Potatoes, Mushrooms, Tomatoes and Sourdough. And that was one huge plate of goodness! What stand out the most for me is their Roasted Baked Potatoes 😋 Crabmeat is a Tomato Cream based pasta with Blue Swimmer Crab. We walked the whole stretch before deciding on Unagi Nara (honestly i didn't even know the name of their shop till i saw the receipt 😅). Our deciding factor for this meal was Army Stew (for me) and BBQ Pork (for buddy). This meal was pretty pricey to us - Army Stew ($30), Iberico Pork Collar ($18) and Seafood Pancake ($22). Wouldn't say they serve the best food but they played a big part in my secondary school days. They have upgraded and added more menus since then! Used to go for their baked pasta with chicken sausage because that was the cheapest and the only one i could afford 🤭 Carbonara was so-so but their Teriyaki Chicken that tastes not too bad! Keu Ppong-Cream is like carbonara sauce poured over korean noodles. This fushion was okay, not fantastic. Vongole Ppong though, was like seafood soup that was very salty and was not palatable at all (to me) Le buddy still managed to finish it though (because he dw to waste food 😐). Actually our main visit was to try their new risotto but too bad, they were excluded in BB. I would reccomend their set lunch (if you want to give them a try).
