Makan In Sri Petaling
We were first served with seaweed soup with clam first. Then came 6 side dishes. All refillable expect for the steamed egg. Thought Daorae used to serve more side dishes. Even the variety was disappointing. We ordered Gochujang Samkyupsal (pork belly in Korean chilli sauce), Yang-Nyum Dakgalbi (lean chicken fillet in soy sauce), Pa Jeon (pancake with fresh seafood) and Kimchi-Jjigae (pork belly, kimchi, tofu in kimchi soup). The meat tasted really good but serving is a little small. Generous serving of seafood in the pancake and tasted better with the dipping sauce. Kimchi soup was spicy and really satisfying to have. Complimentary watermelon is served at the end.
Overall, spacious and comfortable environment. Service was efficient considering it was a full house.
Quite a nice balance of flavour. Nice to cool off after the spicy meal.
Mum says it's better than Absolute Thai's curry, but I beg to differ. Flavour was okay, though the curry could be richer.
This was not what I expected it will be. Tasted just like ordinary stir fried kuey teow. No dried shrimp, peanuts, tofu etc, common ingredients you'll find in a pad thai.
Meant to be an appetiser but it was the last fish that was served. You can op for seafood or fish otak otak. An okay dish.
