Yes, this is essentially wok-charred rice - consisting of five different grains for varied texturality - with oyster omelette on top, with the distinctive and very aphrodisiacal oyster fragrance permeating the proceedings. When paired with the Hai Di Lao-esque garlicky/chilli padi/vinegar/sesame oil/soy sauce mix available for your dipping pleasure, this was fusion greasy hawker comfort at its finest. 4.1/5

It's frozen soju, yucha, Cointreau, and lemon juice mixed with overturned beer. 🍺🍺🍺 Tasted light and super refreshing in this hot weather!

Boasting 23 craft brews on tap, this bar in Jalan Besar serves fantastic beers from all over the world like Mikkeller and To Øl, paired alongside tasty Asian eats — a match made in heaven, in our humble opinion. From light, fruity ales to smoky dark porters and even a current gluten-free offering from Mikkeller, trust them when they say there is a beer for everyone! Prices average at $9 for a half pint (250ml) and $17 for a pint (500ml). When in doubt, simply approach the knowledgeable servers for recommendations and even a quick taste. The food menu sees plenty of familiar flavours with the likes of Har Cheong Gai (prawn paste wings, $12.50), Asian Poutine (fries slathered in your choice of chilli crab, laksa, satay or salted egg yolk sauce, $9) and Garlic Fried Rice ($7.50). The relaxed, retro vibes, great beers and friendly servers make this a great spot for a chillout date as well as casual drinks with friends.
Avg price: $30 per person
