Finally get to have lunch here. Tried their signature dish, Fish & Chips. Very generous with the fries. The size of the fish is a bit big but the batter is very nice. Tastes different and original compared to other places that I've tried.
Comes originally with just normal fries β asked if we could have the chili crab fries with the Fish & Chips and they obliged. Pretty decent overall; the halibut fillet was fried till golden brown, the exterior was crisp while the insides were flaky and creamy. Accompanying chips were crisp, but the chili crab sauce seemed to lack crustacean flavour though it still delivers a good moderate level of spiciness.
(PS: While the upgrade to Chili Crab Fries is currently not in the menu, they do have intentions of allowing patrons to upgrade to truffle/chili crab fries at an additional cost soon)
Situated on the third floor of Wisma Atria, Picnic is a MarchΓ©-like place great for catching up with friends over a meal in a picturesque setting. The sprawling space resembles a picnic in the park, with astro-turf lining the floor, food truck setups and floor-to-ceiling man-made trees with draping vines. At the entrance, youβll be presented with a buzzer β hold on to this because it is what you will use to order your food from the various food trucks. Thereβs a wide variety of items offered here, so even the pickiest eater will find something to eat! Head straight for the Pizza and Pasta Food Truck and order the value for money Seafood Pizza ($15). It comes generously topped with shrimp and squid, and is great for sharing among four. Skip the tempting rosti and stick to the crowd pleasing Beer-Battered Fish and Chips ($15) instead β opt for truffle fries as your side at no extra charge!
Avg Price: $15 per person

A really good fish and chips. Even though Dory fish is used, the fish fillet did not have the unpleasant muddy taste.
.
What I got was a piece of thick, tasty and succulent fish fillet in a non oily and thin beer batter. The sides of fries and salad with wasabi vinaigrette dressing were delicious too!

From this fairly new kopitiam named Triple V Coffeehouse that houses a French Cuisine stall (where this came from), a Western Cuisine stall, an outlet of Black Shell Cafe from CT Hub 2 (both not opened yet) and a drinks stall that sells all sorts of beers. Featuring a marinated duck leg cooked in duck fat, the duck was savoury with moist meat that came off the bones easily and with crisp skin, and the cranberry sauce gives it just the right amount of berry sweetness to balance the flavours off. Mash was so-so; a little dry. Would appreciate having more brown sauce to go along, and it would be better if they could remove the vegetables hidden inside for a better texture. Still, this is quite a steal at $12.90 in a neighbourhood coffeeshop, though definitely not meant to be a daily eat.
The beer-batter is made using Dead Pony Pale Ale which has grapefruit, orange peel and pine flavours all rolled into one. The batter is just like their fries, perfectly crispy. The sea bass is soft, fresh and fragrant. We requested for cilantro mayonnaise to go with their sea bass and it matched perfectly.
Fish and chips lovers MUST try this!

Need i say more?? Fish and chips with cheese... This combination is just marvelous. The fish was thick and juicy. So if you are a big eater, this place is for you. The most important thing is that the food was reasonably priced!
Crispy on outside tender inside with hint of beer on the fish fillet ! A quiet cafe to chill βΊ
Throwback to our last outing dinner: Steak Sanger ($22), Fish & Chips ($20), St Louis Pork Ribs ($26) and Fried Wild Rice ($11) with a couple of beers. The food is pretty good but the places might be a trifle noisy to chit chat. My personal favorite will be the Fish & Chips, that is crispy battered snapper fillets with oriole-spiced fries and tartar sauce.
Crispy beer-battered snapper fillets, shoestring fries and veggie sticks. Served with homemade tartar sauce and raffir lime aioli. β β βββ Not a fan of it. Batter is too hard and the fillet is too dry for my liking. On the side note, I do love their homemade sauces.
Enjoyed the fish & chips. Batter remained crispy even after quite a while and fish was fresh! Comes with chilli crab sauce and salted egg yolk sauce which was served separately. Very thoughtful! Also had the raclette cheese fries which came with too little cheese (isn't that always the case). But dip it into the free flow salted egg yolk sauce and all is good. You can also get a large pot of fried porridge or roast meat platter to share, all from the same coffeeshop!
