I honestly didn’t have high expectations at first. But, I was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was for this price range.
Waffles with chicken karage, beef bacon and maple syrup was pretty good and for only $8. Chicken was crispy and juicy (I was expecting cold soggy chicken) and the waffles were quite fluffy.
Roasted chicken was also succulent and paired quite nicely with the yuzu sauce. ($20 for a full chicken not bad)
Duck ragout pasta is under the “Smalls” section in the menu. It isn’t THAT small for $7 and it was quite good too. And lastly truffle fries for $6 which is also pretty decent. Overall quite a satisfactory meal 👌🏻
Went for the largest cut for striploin because it looks so good. Ordered medium but it tasted more like medium rare. Mac and cheese was not bad too and just look at that portion!
Newly opened ramen shop in Kovan (along Nakhon Kitchen) serves decent and cheap ramen. The ramen soup was quite light, not as heavy and flavorful as the others. But for the price, it's quite worth it. Beef shabu ramen was only $7.80 nett but it comes with only 2 slices of meat... But I didn't quite like their noodles because it's those kind of yellow ramen noodle which I dislike. Definitely got to try the smoked duck though. $4 nett for 5 pieces, you get thick delicious green tea smoked duck with passion fruit vinaigrette.
$7.90 for beef noodles. The beef slices looked quite sad... and definitely not the best around. (Best is still the one in golden mile 🤤) It's alright for the price I guess.............
First thing I want to say is that this is way too overpriced! This size is equivalent to the size of a mos burger but this is way more expensive. Burger was very mediocre but the beef patty was really juicy though. I wouldn't come back here again. I'll rather have the wagyu beef burger from Mos Burger (they are kinda similar anyway).
Ps this little thing you see in the photo is $14.90 and doesn't come with any drinks or sides. 🙄
The set meal for 2 ($49.90++) consists of this super tasty salad with big juicy prawns with sour cream, 2 chicken burrito (pretty normal), quesadilla (which was pretty good too especially together with the sour cream and guacamole) and chips and dip. There's also free flow of fresh salsa. Quite a decent place and their service was damn fast.
Located underneath a HDB block, the prices are quite steep considering the kind of food served here. The har jeong kai chicken was nice - tender and juicy and boneless as well. Can be quite salty if you eat the whole thing. But their waffles was horrible it was super hard (I think mine was screwed up) and tasteless. It was agonizing. Tried my friend's waffles and theirs weren't too bad but nothing special.
Supposedly famous? Personally I don't find it that good. The broth wasn't thick enough. The chili was good tho.
Really good and affordable pork chops served here. Had the pork chop with macaroni soup and it was only $11.80++ Huge portion as well, definitely worth the try. The macaroni soup was a little bland though, not sure if it was to balance out the oily pork chops. Omelette with pork patty was great too. The omelette was really fluffy and buttery but the patty just tastes like fatty minced pork patty. Overall decent place since there was a few hit and misses.
