Apart from the appetising and sweetish spicy sauce that's supposedly made with chilli padi, the Tempura Don here didn't elicit a "wow" from me the way Tendon Ginza Itsuki's does every time I'm there.
Having said that, it IS decent enough if you are in the Suntec area and feel like having a bowl of rice topped with freshly-fried tempura but don't wish to burn a hole in your pocket. Plus on an indisputably positive note, service is excellent. I also love the free-flow of yuzu-speckled white radish pickles and the cold, deep green, intense matcha that the staff could not wait to keep topping up.
