When you ask someone about Thai food in Kepong : Yee Wen it is.
.
Great varieties of authentic Thai cuisine, from tomyam gong, glass chicken feet, pandan chicken, fried glass noodles, pad Thai, fried rice etc.
.
.
Non air-conditioned.
Pork noodles aka Chu Yoke Fun (CYF) is no stranger to locals in Malaysia, and you can find it in one of the stalls in most of the kopitiams.
.
I would say it’s quite ambitious to open a restaurant specialise in CYF, and its in such a competitive area - Kepong/ Manjalara. Heard it’s first branch was in Subang. .
.
Clear soup is priced at RM8.80 (small), with additional RM1.20 for an egg. .
.
.
Taste good, but not to the extend of awesome or unforgettable. .
.
It was really crowded yesterday, perhaps everyone is curious about this new kid in town, and would like to give it a try. .
Simple but satisfying, so I don’t really care when it’s like fine-dine kind of portion but priced at RM3.
.
Tips: Some rendang kuah is a must!.

My favourite dried sang mee @ Taman Ehsan, Kepong. Home made noodles and Foo chuk , generous amount charged at reasonable price of RM6!
Generous amount of lala and other seafood such as prawn, scallops and sotong. They are using "crystal" bee Hun hence you can take your own sweet time to finish it. Taste of XO was not too strong, you don't have to worry about getting drunk 😝
Whenever I drive pass Hin Kee, the crowd never fail to amaze me. Kepong-ians will show you how: Leave diet aside and just EAT like there's no tomorrow!.
💰: RM76 nett.
. 😍 .
Tong shui place is rare nowadays, and I am glad that I can always go back to Gei Dak Sek for its famous peanut & black glutinous tong shui whenever I am craving for one.
.
Ps: non-air conditioned, closed on Fridays.
Being a Kepong- ian but seldom explore the good food around neighbourhood, bad ...bad...
A bowl of aromatic n rich curry mee, with lots of char siew, fu chok etc and cost only RM5.50, hence explained the crowd at the stall. Their curry chee cheong fun was good too!
Plus point: speedy service
