Nasi Lemak
Ali, Muthu & Ah Hock is a kopitiam of modern interior, but thankfully, they serve all the Malaysian classics. Unlike other places that have made tweaks to their food, this place certainly aims to get their basics right! Especially comforting is their nasi lemak (RM9.50), with the fragrance of the coconut rice filling the air, and fiery sambal warming your belly with a piece of chicken fried to perfection. Wash it all down with a teh tarik to complete the meal!
Nom, nom, noming this plate of Fried Nasi Lemak (RM18.50) with a side of crispy chicken drumstick, topped with a fried egg, ready to ooze its golden goodness at Nom, Bangsar. When delicate coconut milk, bold turmeric flavours and crunchy fried ground nuts come together, it’s a glorious thing.
With a huge serving of rice, sweet sambal prawns and a heap of nasi lemak sambal, there's nothing that can go wrong about this RM5.50 dish. Come here with someone you'd like to have an intimate conversation with as its cosy environment and decoration hit all the right spots to make you feel at home during your dining experience. P.s. do not miss out on their masala tea!
Sweet-ish sambal lovers, look no further. RM4 for a scrumptious plate of nasi lemak with killer, sweet sambal is a deal you can rarely find anywhere else! If you're feeling ravenous, order the set with deep fried chicken, sambal prawns and squid which comes with a refreshing dessert for only RM17.80. Note that this place serves rendang pork (RM8.50) and is hence not halal.
