One of the best steakhouses in Singapore, really a must-try if you love juicy steaks!
Wa Don-Don is one of the best yakiniku restaurants frequent by Japanese in Singapore. We 100% enjoyed the beautiful cuts of high quality beef - beef skirt steak ($25) and tenderloin ($35) with the assorted sides ($13.50). 😍
Grab a table if you had not made your dinner plans! Wa Don-Don is running a 50% promo for their beef tongues on Monday! 🤤 Check out their Instagram (@wa_dondon_sg) for more info~ 😉
Lovely charcoal stove and great variety of food!
Perfect in this chilly weather!

While their full buffet on weekends are a truly a sight to behold, their semi-buffet on weekdays offer great value. $28 gives you a good range of appetizers/starters and desserts, add on another $10 for a choice of main course which rotates regularly. I come here for the consistency of quality. Appetizers include a selection of house-smoked cold cuts, cheeses, their famous flatbreads baked to order, 4 salads, 2 amuse bouchée, and 2 soups. Desserts are usually a marshmallow chocolate fountain, range of house-made gelato and sorbets with condiments, fresh fruits, crepe, their house special pudding, a mini tart, 2 cakes and 1-2 mousse-type desserts served in shooter glasses.
Beef-lovers, heads up. @thedisgruntledchef does this amazing, amazing roast beef (that's first sous vide so perfectly such that it's ultra-tender, but still retains a lovely bite) – so divine that God forbid you miss it. It's best savoured medium rare, and honestly tastes so good that there's no need for any more than a modest splash of that accompanying bordelaise sauce, delicious as it is.
This is meant for sharing – though I won't blame anyone for being selfish – so the platter also entails three sides that are each stars in their own right. There's the baby romaine salad, the salt-baked onion, and my favourite truffle macaroni & cheese; made with parmesan, emmental, gruyere and cheddar.
Life is good.
I swear we drank all that sauce. -hic- Who knew VSOP could do so well with anything even. Active link in bio. They also do a 6-course weekend brunch which is only priced at $48/pax! Definitely worth checking out, plus that free flow wine and beer option for an added $38.
i guess this remains number 1 in my heart when it comes to jap sushis. these were so divine and throughout my whole experience, it was amazing! from the service to the hospitality to the food, everything was perfect. i had the "omakase special - yume" at $250/pax just in case you need to know.
never liked to combine my pictures but these deserves it!! BEST SUSHIS EVER!!! 🍣 there were a few more but im not able to combine them so 9 pics it shall be 💕
thank you for the great hospitality chef ishizawa 🙆 indeed unforgettable and dreaming of my next visit 😊
Probably the best part of my omakase lunch tasting yesterday – fresh, sweet, creamy uni is hard to beat.
Chilled Mee-Pok-style Udon tossed in Truffled Oil, Negi (Spring Onion) and Menma (Bamboo Shoots) and topped off with Ikkura (Salmon Roe). Truely refreshing cold dish for the summer!
Few do premium sushi better than Shinzo without blowing a big hole in your wallet (S$138++/pax). Shinzo is a new Japanese restaurant helmed by veteran sushi chef, Lawrence Chia, who trained under the famous Japanese Chef Yoshio Nogawa. Chef Chia regularly snatches up the very best produce from Tokyo’s Tsujiki Fish Market. Some of Shinzo’s not-to-be-missed signature dishes include the Hotate foie gras and Toro tataki.
