For our last lunch in Singapore, Konde had to queue for more than 30 minutes (watch my latest IG story) since I really wanted him to try the best LOR MEE ever before we leave. What is this dish? Basically, para siyang LOMI natin 😂 Singapore's lor mee is a Chinese-inspired noodle dish served in a thick starchy gravy with thick flat yellow noodles. The lor mee of this specific stall, which is located at the best hawker centre (Old Airport Road) is served with slices of chicken, sardines, pork in a thick, five-spice braised sauce 😍 Add a bit of chilli and vinegar, BOOM SERREP SERREP! ❤
P.S. The wanton mee stall near the parking entrance (Hua Kee Hougang Famous Wanton Mee) is also popular, I had to queue for 20 minutes. Basta the best itong hawker na ito talaga! .

Can't appreciate KFC because they DON'T HAVE GRAVY NOR RICE (?!?). Don't like Jollibee SG because their Chickenjoy (as well as their spaghetti) is incomparable vs. Jollibee PH's (must be the no pork/no lard requirement here). What does Popeyes have? Crispy skin, juicy and tasty meat, no need for gravy, served with GARLIC rice or fries ala Army Navy's freedom fries, interesting limited time offers, yummy mashed potatoes, even their Creole Chicken Sandwich has become my default fastfood chicken burger! .

❤😍❤😍 Nothing really changed when Llaollao rebranded to Yolè (except the brand colors). BUT, I've noticed that the launches of limited time offers such as this flavor became more frequent! So yaaay and good job, Yolè! .

Sounds unappetizing, right?? Until I tried the Marsiling Teochew Fish Soup stall (there's one in Gateway East bldg, another in Toa Payoh). It's the perfect comfort food during rainy days. And everytime you want to have WHITE rice with a 'healthier' main dish 😂 Most locals would order noodles instead of rice though (rice is life!!) Hahanap-hanapin ko ito! 😭 P.S. Another famous fish soup resto is Xin Yuan Ji in Bugis, which also has COFFEE PORK RIBS on their menu!

Tsukemen is usually served only as noodles with a salty and thick sardine-based broth. This resto pairs up noodles with diff meat options: chicken drumstick (??) or this scrumptious and juicy BUTA slab 😍 If only their tasty garlic-based broth were thicker, this could have been my 2nd fave #tsukemen place (next to Tokyo's Fuunji!) ❤

We never understood your long queues. If it's about the price, everything at Collins is way better - their menu, meat's tenderness, sides, etc.! Wish they had more branches, though. Btw, their salted caramel shake reminded me of McDo PH's caramel sundae ❤ Will definitely be back or order from Deliveroo/Food Panda 😋😂 #burpple

We've always been disappointed with all the other ones we've tried here in SG, but this one, babalik-balikan talaga! Best paired with their matcha ice cream! Perfect with our chosen snowflake waffle flavors - Smores, Cookie Butter, and Plain! ❤ Couldn't get enough of their waffles, we had to order another plate ahihi!
