YOLO offers 4 different goal-oriented menus, each with 3-4 dishes catering to diets ranging from gluten-free to high protein, tagged with calorie count estimates. Cookies, brownies and muesli bars are also available as the occasional indulgence for cheat days. The pickiest of eaters should be able to choose something to their liking.
If you're not a regular "clean food" consumer, you might need to psych yourself up for the fare here. This Kale Pesto Pasta is green in all aspects (I trust you to search the health benefits of kale and broccoli for personal knowledge). I do not like broccoli, but the pesto taste made it bearable to chew šŸ˜… The walnuts were a nice addition for crunch and nuttiness to the surprisingly tasty dish. However, I'm not too sure if I'll be willing to fork out $13.90+ for this in place of salads that are half the price and twice the size.
The biggest nose-wrinkler about this place is the plastic ware: food is served in plastic containers and utensils for dine-in customers. I highly doubt these are reused, or maybe there's a small likelihood they get recycled. This lack of eco-friendliness somehow contradicts their motto (from my personal and perhaps biased interpretation).

Popular London burger restaurant MEATliquor makes its international debut in Singapore at Duxton Hill, bringing over some serious gritty swag with their hipster maritime-themed decor and vibrant graffiti. Apart from their selection of gourmet burgers, also expect chicken wings and cocktails. If you're looking for a place to let loose with friends and have a sinfully greasy night out, MEATliquor certainly fits the bill. Go for their signature Dead Hippie burger ($22) which features two French mustard-fried beef patties topped with their signature "dead hippie" sauce, or the cheesy and spicy Dirty Chicken Burger ($16). Have the Sambal Fries ($10) on the side and wash that all down with an Oolong Floater ($22) ā€” mango and oolong soda with Pampero rum.

The ramen was... VERY TRUFFLY. I cannot. šŸ˜ And for someone who doesn't like edamame, I thought @kanshokuramen did a good job with the truffle seasoning, probably puts all the other truffle fries we've had to shame (says @chewypompipi), I couldn't stop munching on those edamame!

tanuki raw bar & our perennial favourite chirashi don is back!!! bara chirashi don ($17.80) is still as flavourful, lots of fresh seafood and pearly seasoned sushi rice!! the WHAM! fries ($14) sound divine too--sweet potato fries with the works, including salted duck egg sauce & charred marshmallow!!! additions also include the kaisen chirashi don ($24.90), supposedly a new-&-upgraded version of the regular chirashi don?

very affordable build-your-own-bowl ($13.80): 1 base + 1 hot protein + 3 sides + 2 toppings + 1 dressing. add $3.50 for premium options like grilled sea bass or grilled salmon, which was pretty good!! sides included roasted sweet potato, my fave šŸ˜Š other lunch options like pita pockets ($10) available too!

gorgeous store concept & really fun system of choosing ingredients!! the build-your-own-bowl ($16) = 1 grain + 1 protein + 1 hot veg + 2 cold veg + 1 sauce + 1 topping. the seared marinated tuna was especially outstanding, so flavourful and tender! beetroot yogurt sauce was a pretty pink and pretty tasty too. all-in-all, a satisfying and feel-good lunch :-)

The chilli elements likely suffered burnout from their high-power, glamorously busy CBD existences, while elsewhere the sea bass ate clean and the wakame wood-ear salad was a sesame-kissed, crunchy, seasoned delight. 3.5/5

A long time favourite on Artichoke's weekend brunch menu, the Lamb Shakshouka ($26) is the perfect union of tender lamb shoulder and spot-on runny eggs. Served in a skillet, this Middle Eastern inspired dish is enlivened by a well-balanced spiced tomato sauce and a stunning green chilli harissa. Tear off pieces of the accompanying pita bread and use that to mop up that delicious mess. Don't worry ā€” the guys at Artichoke are too laidback to judge. Pro tip: The dish is super filling, so you might also want to order a lighter main (try the Haloumi & Mushrooms, $22) and share both with a friend.

Great place for an affordable sushi fix. Got the Kaisen don ($14.80 nett) which had a good ratio of seafood to rice. Rice had a good balance of sweetness and vinegar. The tamago mentaiyaki ($8.80) was good too. Smokey and rich mentaiko dressing with Japanese omelette which went well with the plain rice. Also had the salmon aburi mentai sushi which was disappointing as it tasted like a mouthful of sauce.

Of the selection of Baos, we had the Chili Crab ($18) - technically a Chili Crab with Fried Man Tou combination that could never go wrong when you are in Singapore. Saving on the dirty hands moments with crispy fried holding the crab meat and sauce within. The sauce went all out with the spiciness creating a numbness effect. Extra sauce to dip with, though I felt it was rather unrequired as there were sufficient sauce with the baos already.

Taking a local tzechar classic and putting it into fusion cafe fare concept, the salted egg prawns were a tad old in terms of texture but does carry enough flavour that evokes familiar tzechar memories with fried curry leaves, chopped chili and other ingredients within a fluffy Mantou bun. Didn't quite like the plain greens that came beside without any dressing; certainly something I was not expecting at a dish that costs $15.
