TAIWAN
Strawberry Croissant Donut (NT210) is served in limited quantities, and it is the hot seller in the cafe.
The interior croissant was buttery flaky, and it encompassed the flavour and shape of donut! Sandwiched with custard and topped with strawberry ice cream, this pretty looking dessert totally wow us!
Heard that the usual queue is 1hr to 2hr, but we were lucky to get a seat without reservation, and we waited for merely 5 minutes. YAY!
Similarly, you can get to choose if you prefer soft, crispy or regular texture!
Verdict? CHEAPER than SG and BETTER than SG. Not the best because my heart goes to After You, but the texture is less hard than the Matcha version that I tried in SG. Fluffier than the one in SG, my BFF even finished the entire exterior toast!
But overall, there are other food that is better worth your calories in Taipei.
Super cute minion candyfloss (NT90) spotted at Shilin Night Market! There are a couple of designs to choose from, such as baymax and rubber duck.
Awesomely cute, the cotton candy can only last for 7-8 hours. And guess what, this is THE BEST candy floss I have ever eaten! The interior was SO FLUFFY and soft, which instantly melts in your mouth!
Finally plucked my courage during this third trip to join in the queue and try how nice it is! And for your info, I HATE BITTER GOURD.
This regular size costs NT65 and it is their signature drink with lemon juice.
WOW MINDBLOWN! Sweet and refreshing but ended with a bearable bitter aftertaste. Surprisingly it's not as bad as what I thought, and it is a good alternative to wash down the oily feels after the street food feasting!
Take a empty bowl and pick your favourite items such as intestines, meatballs, vegetables and many other more. Do not forget to add 王子面!
Pass it to the person and he/she will cook in their special and magical sauce! All these only cost us NT270! Their specialty also included chewy 猪脚筋, 皮Q肉嫩哦!
赞!
We had the 红油抄手 (NT160) which came with prawn and pork fillings and 8 pieces.
Verdict after comparing to SG's version? The sauce is nicer with a more aromatic vinegar taste and less spicy! But honestly, nothing can beat the freshness of the pork (oink oink) in Taiwan!
Each potato ball is carefully weigh and the external bread crumbs were served crispy and hot! Followed by the soft and buttery potato, and the cheese... HAPPINESS!
Almost too cute to be eaten, this chocolate cake (NT160) was so densely infused with chocolate, and ended with a bittersweet after taste.
Oh and the floor tiles are really beautiful!
Slurping the mee sua away in the cold cold weather, this is just plain good.
We went to Taipei Fish Market to indulge in the Japan fresh sashimi and seafood!
Featuring here are snow king crab legs (NT615), salmon sashimi (NT240), Unagi Sushi (NT120) and grilled Gindara (NT250). PARADISE INDEED! oh and happy #singlesday! Can my Mr Right be found in Taiwan? 😂😂😂
Featuring their specialty 蓝莓起司松饼 (NT180), blueberry with cheese and whipped cream were served separately!
Crispy but lack of fluffiness, the combination of blueberry and cheese saved the dessert.
In love with the ambience of the cafe!
Not the best for latte art, but the coffee beans were strong and aromatic! The latte was available at NT110, and the size is much bigger than the typical ones in SG. Homely feels!
