Healthy eats
(Over)ordered at soup spoon, trying out for the first time the Salmon miso jjigae with a side of quinoa salad. Great japanese miso flavours. So much ingredients in the soup I was already full after drinking the the soup! They were really generous with the salmon chunks!Not so much of korean stew taste, maybe the straw mushrooms? š Quinoa salad was a refreshing match to the hearty salmon soup! Crunchy quinoa with fresh veges and edamame beans! š
Great salad, fresh and crunchy vegetables with large pieces of grilled chicken breast.. ($8.80) Delicious mushroom quiche but wasn't hot even though I asked for it to be heated up. ): But! the coffee tasted quite weird. Not sure if it was because the barista didn't dispense the shot fully. Roasted coffee taste was too weak..
Fresh salads with lots of different ingredients. Packed with protein-rich seared tuna and soft-boiled eggs! Really interesting concept since they have different sauces at the counter so at some point my salad had 6 different dressings. Service was great but quite slow though. Waited about 15-20mins for my salad.
When llaollao's queue is too long... I think they were more generous with the fruit toppings ^^
2nd time back to Cafe Seventy and realized they improved their menu! Now I get to choose between panini, wholemeal sandwich or wrap ($8). A healthy lunch and my daily dose of caffeine in their signature nutrition mocha that apparently has 30+ vitamins and minerals.
The buckwheat noodles are freshly handmade so they are soft and springy. On weekends are there will be lunch crowd but I didnt need to wait very long since the restaurant interior is quite big. The portion of soba was generous and the dipping sauce was tasty and not overpowering with sweet mirin. Best eaten with their signature Mugi-cha in a traditional tea pot!
Vietnamese signature dish as my healthy side dish. The rolls were wrapped nicely and the presentation was good. The lemongrass and basil taste was just right, not too overwhelming. The accompanying sauces were also highlights. The peanut sauce did not taste of MSG and I liked the mildly sweet and smooth chilli sauce.
Refreshing raw zucchini pasta marinated in citrus minty sauce. So light I can eat 10 plates of this in 1 seating. They have a shop upstairs selling cooking equipment, ingredients and recipe books.
Nice cosy vegetarian cafe that serves delicious and healthy food. The wrap was filled with fresh salad veges and light dressing. Best kind of meal to kick start my day.
Its at the swimming complex next to the bukit merah bus interchange. I loved the cappuccino there and apparently the nutritious mocha is highly recommended because it contains their nutrients mix that aids in weight loss and better health.. Shall try that next time to see if it tastes good.. Ordered 2 types of Paninis: Beef and egg mayo.. both were so yummy!! Their mayonnaise is also fortified with their nutrients mix so I felt less guilty eating 2 sandwiches at one go haha!! Can eat here after a swim for a healthy post work out boost!
Healthy food can taste awesome too! Totally need a place like Greendot to motivate me to eat healthier! Their soy noodles were cooked al dente and the sauce was really tasty!! Rendang mushrooms are one of the most popular dish there!
