☁️☁️ Throwback to this monstrosity of an ice cream. This is topped with cotton candy cloud dyed with squid ink (there was nothing fluffy about this), white chocolate thunder, and a Jcone. Super cute mess to eat. The cotton candy was mint-flavoured, not the typical cloying sweetness. Ice cream was smooth and great for Summer!! (Twd80)

Last picture to reminisce my Taipei trip last week. I dont know why but i simply adore the convenient stores. All the drinks looks so tasty without me tasting it. Why can't ours be like that too! Convenient Stores in TW makes me squeel in excitement every single time. Feel like want to tau pau everything home!

1) 那些年我们一起看的草莓牛奶(NT130)- interesting name for a hot cup of strawberry milk with lots of foam.

2) 苹果肉桂冰淇淋+紧得要命松饼(NT180)- technically waffles with ice cream and fruits but thet served it with a classy cocktail glass. 2 pieces of fluffly waffles with vanilla ice cream and apples!

3)阿不思庄园拿铁(NT190)- really creamy foamy iced latte. My order of that day and one of the special for that cafe. A kinda of drink to sip on on an afternoon day off people watching.

4)史瑞克流鼻血(NT130)- what's nose bleeding shrek doing on the menu?? Thats just green tea milk with azuki beans 😂

They also serve 老板娘特调 ( NT135) but only one cup a day!!!

Hi Guys! I'm physically back in Singapore already! Just sharing my #throwback Taiwan stuff. Though probably I'm still spiritually there with their cheap good food! 😂

1)[士林区-永和豆浆] first breakfast in TW - tried their more traditional breakfast of 蛋饼&豆浆.Pretty good after adding some of the unknown sauces on the table(please try it yourself)

2)[淡水老街-传统手工阿给] must try and must eat while in 淡水. 阿给is dong fen wrapped with tofu skin and drizzled with sauce. Though it was famous here, we loved the other 2 more - fish ball soup & 卤肉饭. Their fish balls are similar to our fu zhou fish ball, fish meat stuffed with soup and meat rolled into a ball. While their卤肉饭 is incomparable to SG one.

3)[士林夜市] one of the must go night markets in taipei - Cheese Potato with Corn, all my favourite ingredients in one! Fried potato sliced open, stuffed with corn and splashed with cheese sauce.

4)[西门町]Mochi with Japanese soya sauce and topped with seaweed flakes. Super chewy! Though perferred to have a more thick sweet soya sauce coated on it.

5)[士林夜市] 碳烤臭豆腐 - stinky tofu became one of our favourite snacks in taiwan! The smell no longer stinks after you sink your mouth into one of these.

6)[饶河夜市]probably the top of our list for food! This prawn quail egg was the bomb!! Couldn't get enough of it! We gotten their No.1 honey mustard flavour! And was so so good!

7)[饶河夜市-蚝大哥] for cheap fresh seafood! 6 grilled oyster for NT 100 (~ S$4.40) Cheap daoooo. The table of seafood cost us NT500 (~S$22) prawns and snow crab legs were NT200 each. THE PRAWNS WERE AWESOME!

8)[基隆-庙口夜市] Butter Crabs (NT 200) pretty crab for 2 crabs for about S$8.80. But a far cry from SG standards. The crab meat was dry and lack bouciness.

9)[基隆-庙口夜市] 鸡蛋牛奶泡泡冰 - if you had tried the yilipaopaobing from somerset, the version here is slightly more mild, less sweet and without all the toppings.

And our bellies lived happily ever after.

For extremely good No.1 in Japan matcha vanilla softserve! (NT 80) Pining for one now in the extreme hot weather!

But this is really some legit beef noodles!
Springy noodles, refreshing broth and tender soft meat. Personally feel this was better than the outlets in SG. Tried the XLBs too, and they pretty closely matched to SG's ones. The sauce are different, its mixed with one part vinegar and 2 part rice vinegar. Interesting.

A bowl of shaved ice topped with 4 toppings of choice(Yam ball, pearls, grass jelly and longan).

Was told by locals that there isn't much difference between 赖阿婆's and the others at 九份老街. However, the 芋圆冰 here they said taste better than in the other night markets.

The yam balls here are really something else. I usually detest the taste of yam but I really liked them here. It's more mochi and lesser of the foul yam taste. (Yam lovers please don't hate me)

Apart from the traditional ones, with 豆浆油条。

總滙土司(NT60 + 起司 NT10) × Cordon Bleu Burger of fried pork with ham and cheese within (NT55). Pair it off perfectly with a cup of royal milk tea (NT15). S$6 Breakfast anyone? 🙋 My stomach is growling while typing all these... 😳

Cute Cafe themed after that cute bunny character which became a cake that landed into my tummy 😂

However, this cafe suffers from the disease of LNTO(Look Nice Taste Okay) which explains the shutting down of its many outlets in Taipei.So, I wouldn't really recommend this cafe unless you really liked the characters!

Also, an tip if you are planning to cafe hop in Taiwan. They have a rule of 最低消费，which needs you to order a drink per person or an item per person. So, it would be more costly and you tend to get easily full by the drinks and food per cafe and it gets hard to "hop"

A 3 storeys high building housing a rather European style brunch place that was near our hotel.

This is their scrambled eggs in a pan, accompanied with really soft fluffy bread. This comes with a Before drink (choose between orange juice or milk) and an After drink(coffee, tea or soft drink) Making it really value for money at NT 230(about S$10)

MUST EAT MANGO ICE in the hot weather!

Missing this bowl of soft flaky mango ice, topped with sweet mango cubes, strawberries and kiwis and finished off with a milky panna cotta, drizzled with mango sauce!!

Famous even to their locals, lots of queue and early sell out of their more popular items!!
