Was wondering why it's so expensive and turns out it was a massive 6inch cheese tart. (328/388 ntd) Managed to bring this back with only a small crack (I was so careful with my bag the entire time) but we weren't impressed cos we had it cold with soggy hard crust ☹️ filling was not overly rich, quite fluffy so I suppose it'll be a little oozy if it's hot, with flakey crust? Will try it out again! liked the bittersweet matcha one with azuki beans in it better. The next time I'm there I might just have it on the spot.
Mango finely-shaved ice with fresh mangoes and strawberries - perfect for the summer!
Unlimited quality meat, seafood, the best of both worlds with grill and steamboat (+ Haagen Daz/ Movenpick ice cream) - definitely worth every cents and calories at only $25 - $35(?) for dinner! Will come back the next time I'm here again😋
Lovely place, 500ntd/pax for high tea but not fantastic
☁️☁️ Throwback to this monstrosity of an ice cream. This is topped with cotton candy cloud dyed with squid ink (there was nothing fluffy about this), white chocolate thunder, and a Jcone. Super cute mess to eat. The cotton candy was mint-flavoured, not the typical cloying sweetness. Ice cream was smooth and great for Summer!! (Twd80)
Mess of the prettiest packaging for Taiwanese 伴手礼!! Got their pineapple and suncakes - Pretty and actually good to eat
S$6.25 for a hearty bacon brunch (everything tastes pretty good except bacon was very normal. cheesy egg, fries which was crispy and potatoey, soft crispy toast, tasty potato/egg salad) and $7 for a smoked salmon risotto where to find!!!!
Pineapple prawns, one of our favourite. The batter was so light and crispy, prawns were fresh and crunchy and the slightly sweet-sour juicy pineapple gave a good contrast. Topped with summery orange sauce that went really well together! (1 for 70twd)
Actually saw this on a TV programme, and from the way they scooped, the Mochi looked amazingly q!! (It was so soft the TV host described it as sucking a baby's cheek which is the weirdest description but I guess it works) Sells out quite fast apparently. This Mochi is really super fresh bouncy and q with mild milky taste (actually a little on the bland side but the texture's good!!! not annoyingly sticky.) 5 flavours are available: chocolate, matcha, milk, sesame and peanut. 1 for 10twd.
280twd (S$12.50), comes with soup. beef was quite tender smokey and peppery, atop a bed of Japanese rice with onions.
1 for 40twd (S$1.80) Finally tried one so I can stop challenging myself. Had cricket, survived so one off bucket list HAHA. Lost a bet, had to try it first but nod of approval and my friends kinda liked it. Honestly it wasn't that bad cos it was fried in fact I probably wouldn't have known I was eating cricket if I didn't see it. Just had to overcome the psychological barrier. No strange explosions of stuff in my mouth. It helped that the batter was tasty 😂
8twd (S$0.35), been eating this so often. Definitely another thing I'd miss about Taiwan & the plethora of convenience stores. Their egg is really fragrant!
