Hawker Delights

Wanted to have my favorite 油鸡面 for breakfast but the stall was not ready yet. Settled for this bowl of lor mee ($2.50) which turned out to be quite decent. The condiments of chili, garlic and vinegar is up to your discretion which allows you to "concoct" your bowl according to your preference! The five spiced roll and meat was pretty ordinary but what stood out for me was the solitary piece of fried fish! It was crispy yet moist on the inside! Totally elevating the dish!

A hearty bowl of mutton soup ($4) for lunch. The soup was rich, peppery with a nice taste of Chinese herbs. Meat was tender. What spoilt the meal for me was the accompanying bowl of rice! It was very low quality grains that resulted in mushy rice. Definitely made the meal much less satisfying that it was supposed to be!
