This was my favourite out of the four tacos we tried. The pronounced seasoning of the flaky fish was balanced by the fresh squeeze of lime juice and mild heat from the chipotle aioli wonderfully. Get three (each)!

While this looked more promising colour wise, it wasn’t the spit-roasted meat that was described on the menu. Marinated pork fillets were seared on the hot grill the finished in the oven instead. After having the flavour-packed fish taco, this seemed too tame as the second act.

The beef was well cooked but sadly slightly underseasoned. Spam with the salsa verde sauce!

Would have preferred bigger fresh prawns, but a similar flavour profile to the fish tacos but with an extra bouncy bite.

Melted cheese and chicken chunks sandwiched between tortilla can do no wrong. Get this to share (or not)!

Note: Menu says salsa but we got some shredded salad instead.

Fresh red snapper slices in a zippy, coconut milk-enriched dressing with papaya (aka paw paw), coriander and thinly sliced red onion. Super refreshing!

English muffin sammies? Nah.
I have not tried many arepas (corn cake/bread), so I won't be able to tell you that their version of the Colombian/Venezuelan staple is legit, but they sure are tasty. 👍🏼👍🏼

The "buns" are kinda like perfectly seasoned polenta cakes though slightly more dense. While the fillings look unimpressive — we opted for Shredded Beef and Avocado Chicken — both complemented the buns' texture well, especially the creaminess of the avocado in the latter. They look small, but are actually quite filling.

Come here with a friend during lunch and get 2 at $10 (lunch promo 👍🏼) and maybe share a salad or a sandwich!

First things first: I like Super Loco. But credit must be given where it's due, and the Huevos Rancheros at Clinton Street is sooo much better than the former's.

Price wise, it's comparable (excluding the $4 for chorizo add-on), but the serving portion here is downright out-of-control making it more value-for-money.

As for flavours, the salsa's got more umami oomph, the huge dollop of chunky guacamole's studded with many many bits of onion, cilantro and tomato, plus there's a generous spoonful of sour cream to the point of the tortilla's oblivion (yep, it's underneath all that glorious mess). Can't ask for a better breakfast than this plus the uhmayzing blueberry pancakes here. ❤️

We tried every taco flavour available and I loved the beer-braised beef the most with its tender, flavour-packed chunks disintegrating effortlessly with every bite.

The chicken and fish were tied on second place for me, but the former inched forward after I added some sriracha before every bite and a few slices of jalapeños. Instead of using the usual battered, deep-fried fillets, the fish tacos here come topped with flaked tilapia marinated in tequila and aromatics including coriander, lime zest and garlic before the fish is grilled. While the flavours were on the money, I found it just a teeenie weenie bit dry for my liking. A wedge of lime and a dollop of guac would have probably made it better, but since it doesn't come with that, I suggest you pile on some of the pickled carrots from the counter for an acidic kick.

I really wanted to try the beef tongue tacos and smoked duck quesadilla but unfortunately both were not available. We opted for the grilled Street Corn instead basted with lip-smacking lime and chilli-kissed mayo and sour cream – a pretty decent elote sans the cotija cheese considering its price.

If you're sick of the usual English muffin with your eggs benny, then this is for you. The Super Rancheros comes with free-range eggs served on corn tortilla with ham and cheese in between plus a fresh tomato salsa on the side and of course, baconnn! The Tortas (Mexican sandwiches, from $14) are rather underwhelming so I suggest you opt for the Breakfast Burrito ($18) instead stuffed with scrambled eggs, strips of steak, Mexican beans, salsa rojo and pico de gallo.

Baja Fresh never disappoints. Did you know that they don't have freezers on premise? That's how fresh the ingredients they use are.

The ancho-marinated slow-cooked pork belly melts in your mouth. And the combination with onion and pepper slaw and home made sweet corn salsa just works incredibly! This is probably my favourite dish!
