Cheap And Good

Chicken was nothing to shout about, but the spring roll is in a league of its own. Minced chicken and prawn seasoned with fish sauce and spices, then rolled in rice paper and deep-fried. I could probably eat four of these too. On a side note, beef pho, of which I have no photo, is pretty decent. I heard the chicken pho here is quite good...will try next time. Vietnamese coffee was just ok only. Ok, that's all.

Yet another cream puff that comes stuffed with goodies; this one comes with smooth custard mousse and Hokkaido Cream. Could have been rather good if not for the slightly dry and bread-like puff pastry.

Must say this week's options were an improvement from last week. This Cantonese Steamed Sea Bass set was delicious and the yam rice had a very interesting herbal twist to it. Only gripe was that the rice was a little bit too dry.

Springy noodles topped off with juicy char siew pieces, small dumplings and cubes of crispy tasty pork lard. There, I am in peace. 😍

Although the name says wonton, the main highlight of the breakfast was actually the char siew!

you see that, you see that? thats what i'm talking about - that caramelized burnt ends and almost transparent fat. if you sin, you sin the full works, no in-between. then pray hard that the hot green tea later works miracles.
