DESSERTS ALL DAY LONG 💕
Gelato inspired by the botanical flavours of nature, no introduction needed for Birds of Paradise. Avid fans of their gelato will be glad to know that they have the third outlet near Tanjong Pagar MRT.
Delicate floral White Chrysanthemum with cocoa nibs combined with the earthy Sea Salt Houjicha ($8/double scoop), have it in a cup or on the fragrant handcrafted thyme cone.
Back at One-Ninety for Chef Audrey’s Single Origin Dark Chocolate Soufflé with Darjeeling Ice Cream.
Dark and intense yet has a light and custardy texture, the chocolate soufflé is a showstopper of a dessert. Darjeeling ice cream paired with the chocolaty dessert is brilliant, as it intertwines flavour and texture.
FATCAT’s second enclave is just a short walk from Kovan MRT!
Taking on a much brighter tone, this outlet has 18 flavours on display with pints and ice cream cakes for takeaway. Expect to find unique flavours such as Butter Beer (yes, for you Potter-heads), Smoked Oolong & Seasalt Matcha.
Went for their Hokkaido Milk with seasonal Blackforest. Imagine creamy fresh milk ice cream with decadent 70% dark chocolate and cherry jam, it’s a harmonious balance of flavours. But for the purist, nothing hits the spot like a nutty sweet Pistachio.
Impressive petit gâteau as Alice Boulangerie launched the CNY Festive Box made up of two special treats - The Empress Fan & Ong Lai.
The fan-shaped dessert is made of layers of smooth vanilla and mandarin orange sandwiched between trocadéro sponges. Encased in hand-painted chocolate decor, it is a piece that’s too beautiful to be eaten.
And what’s CNY without pineapple tart? Tropical flavours as it combines coconut mousse filled with honey pineapple compote, peanut dacquoise, and a mango glaze finishing.
Other signature items worth checking out include their Yuzu Tart & Champagne Ispahan.
Lady M’s seasonal Black Sugar Peanut Mille Crepe Cake & limited edition Lady M Lunar New Year Gift Set.
Just in time for LNY. The Black Sugar Peanut Mille Crepe Cake is a toothsome morsel, perfect for gatherings. Layers of handmade crêpes smothered in luscious peanut buttercream finished with a glossy layer of black sugar molasses and crushed peanuts. It has a nice toasty flavour (due to the use of Frangelico Liqueur) but is on the sweeter side due to the top layer.

$2 for a bowl of chendol!
The shaved ice dessert is made of pandan jelly “worms”, Azuki beans and cold-pressing coconut milk. Drenched in a smoky gula melaka with finely crushed ice, the chendol fragrant and red beans aren’t too sweet either.
In shades of yellow and brown with a touch of blue. The new cheesecake boutique cafe QUIEC by Olivia is decked out like a burnt cheesecake and smells like one too!
If you prefer a sweeter treat, Gateau Basque ($10) is a buttery almond-flavoured cake filled with a layer of vanilla pastry cream infused with rum. Velvety smooth pastry cream infused with vanilla beans and rum, it is encrusted in a flaky pastry.

Variety of cheese-based bakes to choose from such as Olivia Burnt Cheesecake (from $15/4”), Gâteau Basque ($10/slice) and American Cheesecake Macaron ($12)
Signature Olivia Burnt Cheesecake comes in round tart sizes: 4” ($15), 6” ($48) and 9” ($78) instead of the usual slices. A sweet-savoury treat that contains a molten core made of blue cheese and cream cheese, this is a must-try.
Garden terrace dining surrounded by greenery and decorated in pretty blooms for sales.
Housed within Fort Canning Arts Centre, offers the typical brunch and dinner menu but elevated the plating of the dish with florals. Signature brunch items include Croissant Waffle ($23.90), Potato Rosti ($18.90) and Fig & Salted Caramel French Toast ($21.90).
A spin on the regular French Toast as they pair it with caramelised fig, smoked bacon, pomegranate and toasted almond. Sadly Croissant Waffles aka Croffles has a slight rancid taste and truffled scrambled eggs were overcooked.
From Sembawang to Serangoon, The Better Scoop is the newest ice cream cafe in the hood!
What set them apart will be the exclusive Nian Gao Waffle ($6.80) where you can taste a thin layer of the traditional rice cake amidst the crispy waffles.
Top it off with special ice cream flavours (from $4.20/scoop) such as Orh Nee, Black Sesame Soy Milk and Osmanthus Oolong.
BELLO! The Minions are back from 28 October 2021!
Say hi to these beloved rambunctious yellow creatures @minioncafesg, offering Minions-inspired dishes, artwork, and a photo booth corner.
Made of split banana coated in white chocolate topped with mango whipped cream, scoops of strawberry and cotton candy ice cream, cornflakes and blueberries. Beautiful plated, though I’m not a fan of the cotton candy ice cream which taste overly artificial.
