A hidden gem at Menara Manulife which opened their door barely 3 weeks ago. It has a breakfast & lunch menu where the breakfast menu has items which are lighter on the palate and tummy whereas the lunch menu consists of burgers, pastas and what not. On the table is Matcha Latte (RM 12), Beef & Lamb Meatballs Pasta (RM 29) and Scrambled egg, roasted pumpkin, feta cheese on toasts (RM 20). When the food was served, we were delighted at the sight of such pretty plates used and when we tasted the food, sure enough it did not disappoint. The scrambled egg is a nice change to the usual scrambled egg which is loaded with cream and milk, Delirium's version depicts a healthier scrambled egg which is suitable for ladies/guys who are watching their diets. The meatballs pasta is the right balance of sourness in the tomatoes used and the meatballs are to die for. Their me yes aren't a your typical cafe menu as they focus more on healthier version and it will be a great place even for vegetarians as quite a number of their items are actually meatless!

Chicken Alfredo Pasta (RM 28.90), croissant (RM 4.90), Shashuka (RM 22), Very Berry Acai (RM 17.90). Their brunch items lean towards sandwiches and pies instead of the usual staples but sadly, it's really average that it didn't impress me much. The chicken Alfredo pasta is hovering the just-ok border as the chicken is a little too tough plus the price tag seems to be a little on the high side? Shashukha gets a little too spicy towards the end that I couldn't finish it and the croissant is too dense, I prefer my croissant to be light and fluffy. The Very Berry Acai is the only item that I think it's worth the money because not many cafes in Malaysia actually serve this superfood. So I was basically screaming silently but de lightly when I saw it on the menu.

Heard and read so many mixed reviews (reviews which are of two extreme ends) about this place so finally we gave it a try. We ordered the Butcher's Breakfast (RM 29) and Wheatgrass Yoghurt (RM 5). The Butcher's Breakfast has the usual suspects like eggs, sausages, home made chutney, hash browns etc but the portion is a tad small given the price tag. The playing reminds me of YBR but YBR has a slight advantage for the portion served eventhough their Big Breakfast costs more than RM 30. However, the star is the Wheatgrass Yoghurt! The sweetness is just nice with a slight hint of pandan flavour which is refreshing to cleanse the palate after a hearty brunch. The service though needs significant improvement as the kitchen was jammed up and we waited for more than 30 mins for this to be served to us despite numerous reminders were given. The lady was kind enough to ask us whether we need any other orders (coffee, chocolate, desserts etc) which will be on the house as they were very apologetic on the jammed up orders.

Newly opened cafe at Uptown which serves some unconventional brunch fares. We have tried the Grilled Chicken Avocado (RM 31), the chicken breast is moist and yummy but those who can't take spicy food have to be careful because the grilled chicken is pretty spicy coupled with their spiced tomato salsa. Also, we have ordered the Big Belly (RM 25) which I absolutely adore this dish. It comes with beets, quinoa (!!!!), hummus, arugula leaves etc and tada, an unconventional salad is born for our enjoyment! Try it if you have not!

DIY breakfast where you can choose from 3, 5 or 7 items from a list of the usual breakfast suspects such as eggs anyway u want, sausages, ham, bacon, caramelised banana etc. This cafe has gone through at least 4 years of business and even though the food is no as mind blowing as other hipster cafés nowadays, but it's decent enough to fill up your tummy if you are working around the vicinity & hey, not many cafés let you customize your own big breakfast ok. "Having normal chicken sausages are too mainstream, fret not, we've got it covered, caramelised banana it is." 😂

It's summer time and it calls for this beautiful, gorgeous bowl of colourful goodness! Yellowtail, salmon, Hokkaido scallops and salmon mixed with house made dressing. By looking at such colours, wouldn't it make you happy too?

Finally I'm following the latest trend and set foot at this cafe which seems to be the latest hype in KL brunch scene. Big Breakfast @ RM 30 which seems to be abit hefty given that the ingredients served are the usual suspects in big breakfast but my companion who is a big eater actually felt full after finishing the whole portion so I guess it sorts of justified the price tag. I Wanna Be Kaya @ RM 22, two pieces of toasts served with poached pears and strawberries, with kaya as the sauce. Quite an interesting combination I'd say as all the elements blend in well and more brunch cafés are dishing our sweet brunch items as compared to the usual savoury ones. A good move definitely as it makes the local brunch scene more interesting! 😂

Nothing beats having a plate of fluffy scrambled egg when you are starving at 5pm.

Finally back at Publika to try out more new restaurants and cafés, always avoid Publika cos it's so far away. Fahrenheit 600 is famous for its oven baked pizza so it's a sin not to try it when one is there right. Ordered a 9" Mediterannean and a Green Ribbon pasta, at the end of the meal, both bf and I were full to the brim as we wiped down every single thing on the table! Yum in my tum.

Two pieces of toasts topped with later of avocados and two poached eggs, with a side of tomatoes, washed down with a cup of green tea latte. Wouldn't say that my order has blown me away but it's decent enough for a slightly luxurious lunch fare, besides than the usual suspects at Kopitiam. However, the green tea latte didn't impress me at all as it is way too milky with little or no hints of green tea.

A tiny but cosy cafe located somewhere around Bugis area which is a little bit hard to find as there's no proper signage indicating the name of the cafe. Nonetheless, I'm glad to find this cafe because all the foods served are so delish, even a simple sautéed mushroom tastes so good!
