This tiny bakery is completely focused on heir sourdoughs, a mission that makes bread lovers like me very happy. It's hard to find young people this passionate about making good loaves, and I'm glad to have found them in Serene Centre. Here's a hot pressed sandwich which was filled with what is best described as stuffing (like Christmas stuffing), with the main flavours being sage and black pepper. While I enjoyed this savoury sandwich, I did wish there were some pops of sweetness in there for balance, kinda like how you'll take a spoonful of roasted pumpkin here n there on your holiday plate, instead of finishing all the stuffing at one go. The breads are lovely, a touch heavy, and with a tang that good sourdough should have. The coffee is excellent. I had the hand brew with Ethiopian beans, really nice with this easy breakfast.

Probably the most obscenely buttery-tasting scrambled eggs I have ever had. So depraved in silkiness I swear it's barely legal. Which is probably why just like Rihanna and her entourage, it comes surrounded on all sides by a gang of housemade rosemary sausage patties (these were slightly sweet and yummy), little blocks of cheddar cheese, herb-grilled tomatoes and toasted sourdough.

Big Brekkie ($12) and a cup of Hot Chocolate ($5)! Loved the Hot Chocolate, it was thick! The candied bacon in big brekkie made me drool. It was sweet, and went very well with bacon.The bacon was perfectly crisp. This dish isn't quite a big portion, which is great if you aren't that hungry but need a meal. Also, thumbs up for the presentation of the dish! Very instagram worthy. Great dish to have if you want good food and not spend so much, because this big brekkie is definitely worth it.

Moist slabs of pork belly braised in beer and finished off on the grill for that pop, snap and crackle, the result is something magical ~ Only made better by that insanely addictive Memphis coleslaw of course.
Despite its ulu location, I believe that good food is definitely a cause worth braving the traffic for. So go the distance and support this newly opened brewery (opened on the 1st July) soon, coz if you won't, I will。

With an irresistibly flaky texture, the croissant is served with scrambled eggs, pork ham, honey bacons, cheddar cheese, cajun mayo and garden salad. The creamy eggs pairs very well with the buttery and puffy croissant.

Truffle fries here were crispy with hints of truffle oil. Fries were served with shaved parmesan.

PS: Only a handful of fries were "harmed" for this shot. The rest went into our tummies safely. haha

My tastebuds were quick to applaud the fantastic way all the flavours came together in this brunch item. In particular, I really liked the addition of spinach to the scrambled eggs. And that rich, creamy house-made dill aioli was swoon-worthy.

This. Is. The. Bomb. Nevermind that it can get a little too heavy after five bites, because those first five bites are enough to knock you out from bliss. The port-infused sauce of cream and tomatoes is rich and jam-packed with flavour, while shreds of tender pulled pork add a toothsome bite to the linguine. I want to eat this. NOW!
