Waffles Places In Singapore
One of the star desserts at The Cold Pantry - Chocolate Root Beer Waffle served with Charcoal Vanilla ice cream, which tasted more like chocolate ice cream to me and lightly drizzled with homemade root beer sauce.
Found that the Root Beer flavour was too subtle, but I believe it was specially made this way so that it will not overshadow the ice cream. The overall taste and combinations were unique, however nothing out of the world. Nevertheless it still deserves another try.
Back at Hvala and brought friends to try the waffle bar at Somerset. Will be checking out Dinata, a new Portuguese takeout bakery just a few steps away.
How about waffle served on bars (sticks), sort of a waffle dog, except that there are much more selection from this takeout waffle bar at the basement of 313 @ Somerset.
Hvala waffle bar offer soft serve to go as well, if you don't want to join the line at Llao Llao, or the diminishing queue at HoneyCreme.
Spending our Sunday at Sunday Folks.
So stuffed in a bread marathon earlier, but the deep-rooted gluttony told us that we need to try the sourdough buttermilk waffle at Crown Bakery & Cafe, a new and exciting concept that will be coming to you in just a week's time.
The 45 varieties of handcrafted bakes, viennoiseries and snacks such as the signature Crown Bread, Hainanese Chicken Bread and Kaori Ciabatta are so good that every lifelong bread lover (like me) would enjoy and not miss.
Brunch is becoming more of a ritual in Singapore and here's another option for waffle aficionados - Smoked salmon with greek yogurt waffle, one of the new and refreshed weekend brunch items at the Roosevelt's including Crab cake benedict, Breakfast waffle candied BLT, Brioche french toast waffle, Spiced potato bacon hash and more.
Followers of Roosevelt's can now enjoy 10% off their bill from now till 17th May. Promotion is valid only on weekend for every Saturday, Sunday and Public Holiday from 8:30am to 6:00pm. Simply follow their Instagram account to enjoy the discount.
It's a shame to say that I have never been to Nassim Hill Bakery Bistro Bar since its inception in 2012, and it would be criminal not to visit them. I tried their signature Cheddar Cheese Waffle with bits of bacon and cheese filling served with sour cream and bacon strips.
Was amazed by the variety of over 16 all-day breakfast till 4pm, infinite lunch, dinner & bar menu which makes you really spoilt for choice. There is no service charge and currently having a DBS/POSB 10% off promo till end of May 2015, definitely coming back for more as their hormone-free egg dishes sound like a pretty good idea.
Thinking about the Red Velvet Waffle from last weekend. Saw on Spatula Bakery's post that their April special is a fluffy cinnamon waffle stack dusted with sugar and served with vanilla ice cream plus salted caramel sauce. Shall we make a return trip soon.
Too much hype or probably just a bad waffle day, found the gelato too sweet to our liking. Didn't get to try the plated desserts, hope it's worthy the venture at my return visit.
Another waffle spot unlocked, featuring the Special waffle of the month - Red Velvet Nutella Waffle from Spatula. Last four days to try this before April's special arrive. This bakery is halal-owned in case you're wondering.
On a side note, Godfrey Gao is too suave can, he's my idol.
