Good Good Foooooood
It's said that Wimbly Lu Chocolates at Jalan Riang serves the one of the best waffles and desserts on the island, but its such an open secret that its not-so-accessible location already have had queues form up with people who made their way there to try their specialties. To avoid the crowd, try Little Wimbly Lu at myVillage @ Serangoon Gardens; their newest outpost that is way more accessible (as well as way smaller) that serves all the favourites of the main outlet. While they do not serve mains here, this is also a good place to try smaller servings of their waffles, crepes and pancakes so it makes for a good location for some quiet time to spend alone with manageable portions of food. Come down before this place gets known and becomes as crowded as the original.
The best waffles everrrrrrrrrrr and the chocolate mint tea frappe is the best. And the peach rosalle (?) tea is nice too!!
Some good and pretty filling burger and fries, accompanied with iced tea. Would love to come back and try some of their desserts!
I feel that this is the best place for desserts! Especially love their combinations of sweet and salted. What's better is that it's halal!
I feel that there's two ends to this dish, so you really gotta mix it all up to have a taste. Would burn a hole in your wallet IMO, but worth a try!
Pretty good pasta, accompanied with the iced chocolate and blanche mocktail. Worth the price! Didn't try the desserts, gave a reason to come back!
Eggs Benedicts and Turkish Eggs (?) I think for Brunch! It was hella good. Accompanied with some hot chocolate.
Originally from Malaysia, and now it's here! Some damn good filling pancakes, with some iced chocolate and iced mocha for the humid weather!
Doesn't Rachel make them sound delectable? 'Pancakes with Gula Melaka Butterscotch. The salted gula melaka (palm sugar) over those plush pancakes is to die for. I walloped more than half of this. Just. Couldn't. Stop. Eating. For non-Singaporeans, "shiok" is a word to describe a feeling of utter bliss.' Photo by Rachel Xie.
Priced at $13.50, this stack of 3 red velvet pancakes come with addictive homemade cream cheese frosting, and are the perfect complement to the large serving of truffle fries you know you're going to have. Great for those who simply love red velvet! Photo by Keng Wee Tan.
Creamier's long queues and licked-dry plates are testament to the truly addictive nature of their ice cream and waffles. Expect to queue even on a weeknight, but it's seriously worth it. Two perfectly crisp waffles stay firm below two scoops of dense ice cream. Go for the Salted Caramel Gula Melaka and the Roasted Pistachio. Photo by Geraldine Tay.
This is a chocolate lover's heaven- a cosy and intimate cafe in Robertson Quay that serves to-die-for chocolate treats. From their famed souffle, to their tarts, hand-made ice cream and cakes, you're sure to find something that will satisfy. Although the souffle needs a baking time of 15- 30 minutes, remember that good things are always worth the wait.
