A chill place to hang out for coffee break when you're in Orchard! Great coffee and cold brews.
Having seen the Liu Sha donuts featuring on burpple so often, we just had to try it. Sugar crusted donuts with piping hot salted egg custard, it is as sinful as it sounds. Would have been better if there were more oozing Liu Sha!
This humble little HK-style pastry shop opened in Toa Payoh Central a couple of months back and has been garnering long queues already. Probably one of the best Bolo buns that I have tried in Singapore! Personal favourites are the char Siew bolo bun and their egg tarts.
Stumbled into this chic little coffee studio in Sunset Way. Loved the white brew, both iced and hot. Especially with the former, where it is served with espresso ice cubes, so that your coffee will not get diluted as the ice melts.
I'm a regular at Creamier ice-cream and Sunday Folks has always been on my to-go list but only managed to try it out recently. I love the fact that I can have my favourite flavours in soft serve! While the pre-selected toppings were pretty interesting, it would have been even more awesome if they let us pick our own toppings.
Though tucked in a relatively quiet neighborhood in a seemingly 'abandoned' mall, 23 Jumpin was buzzing with life on a lazy weekend. There's limited amount of space so it's likely that you have to queue. But the food and the coffee is really good, do try it out if you're around the area at Tai Seng.
Tucked in the nooks of HDB block in Bishan is this charming little cafe. I like the meringue waffles that is a refreshing change from the usual buttermilk waffles. We had double scoop ice cream - roasted matcha and earl grey, both had very strong flavors and complemented each other. The only complaint is that the ice cream could be slightly smoother, otherwise, a very chill and nice place to hang out.
Was here for lunch but what really got me each time here were the desserts. Love the texture of the cheesecake that was not to heavy and dense, instead you get light but creamy cheesecake covered with roasted nuts for a nutty crunch.
Other than their potted plant specialties, we also tried their rainbow cake. Love the bright happy colors of their rainbow cake. Soft and moist layers of sponge cake with a thin layer of cream cheese butter cream that was not too sweet. 🌈
These really cute Bingsu, disguised as potted plants, are just too pretty to pass! That aside, the red bean Bingsu with malt ice cream and soy bean powder was pretty good, without being too sweet, The only complaint was that the shaved ice could be slightly finer.
Finally succumbed to the Korean Bingsu craze that is taking up SG. Was contemplating between Nunsaram and O'ma Spoon but the former had a 45mins waiting time! Service was much quicker at O'ma Spoon and we settled for the classic injeolmi Bingsu that comes with fine shaved milk ice, nuts, condensed milk, soybean powder and rice cakes. Tasted very much like the ones I tried in Seoul and definitely a good alternative to ice cream during the hot season!
Instead of my usual Earl Grey Lavender, decided to try a new flavor, butterscotch almond. Love the butterscotch flavor that's not too sweet and the crunchy bits of almond slivers!
