Two ground angus beef patty, cage-free over medium
egg, caramelized onions, pickles, cheddar cheese,
dijonnaise in a warm brioche bun.
Really great beef flavors. Beat ShxkxShxxk hands-down 🙌🏻 Would swop for scrambled eggs next time.
USDA prime beef, bacon, fried egg, mustard BBQ sauce, oak-smoked aged cheddar, fries $38. Not your ordinary burger. If you like it smokey, this burger would check the box in all departments from the aged cheddar's amazing flavour, the beef patty's flame grilled flavours. Love the addition of thick cut bacon which is smokey, savoury and goes so well with the egg and cheese. To me the best burger is incomplete if the buns are mediocre, soft and cannot hold up with what's in between. Bedrock's sesame buns really nails it. It has that soft core but really solid crust. It was literally crackling when you bite into it, a combination of the effect of toasting and the high density dough... what stole the show was really the fries. No it wasn't truffled or cheese laden, but served in a simple solid way fries ought to be: crispy but not greezy yet plush on the inside.
Double premium beef patties, double cheese!! $14.90 worth it.
Long overdue visit to this Bali-originated much talked about burger establishment. From the meticulous description of the ingredients in each burger on the menu, you know they mean business. Yes, it's not your most pocket-friendly burger joint but if you are insistent on quality, PHF has nailed it and have been consistently doing so. Huey Burger is their signature and rightfully so with the 120g beef patty matching in flavours with the special sauce, sweet onion and pickles. Noteworthy to mention is their brioche buns which are soft and whilst the burger is moist with full of sauce, they've done it without messing up the lower layer of the bun, i.e. you can hold the burger up in your hand. I know this sounds really basic but increasingly it's getting harder to do so with the overly burdened creations of burgers.
Literally littered with corn! and more: bawang goreng, spring onion, chopped chili. The potato here are really starchy, yet fluffy and sliced into uneven cuts of wedges with their skin partly intact. Drizzle in the sriracha sauce and you have the perfect bowl of indulgence. What's more its only $7! Enough budget to order a mocktail to go with it.
Another classic not to be missed. The large beef patty is simply overwhelming, topped with sweet onion relish, bacon, tomato and lettuce. It would not be complete without the Onsen egg which clearly stole the show. It was literally runny as it rolled over the side of the patty, off the bun onto the tray. A second attempt to escape (think Sausage Party) saw it turned a 360 somersault and in the process shed a chunk of egg white, at the bottom right corner of my picture. The set comes complete with fries with bbq dip. Nothing escapes in the end.
Can you find my burger in this medley of colours?
Yes, it's a pork burger. Not an ordinary pork burger. The minced pork patty got itself a hangover from the XO Cognac marinate. The juicy thick cut tomato is old school but just perfect to counter any jelatness. Comes with a butterhead lettuce salad with a spicy mayo; and shoestring fries, not overly crispy and reminds me of how MacD fries used to be, the way how fries should always be done.
