To-try List

I am all for cakes that are made in-house. Perhaps it's psychological but I feel they taste fresher. Take this Strawberry Cheesecake from Dimbulah for instance. The rich, dense cheesecake had a gorgeous sweet strawberry topping. I also found its ratio of cheesecake to strawberry quite perfect. Now that I know how lovely this cake is, I can't wait to return to try the rest.
Not all brunchy places serve Truffle Fries, which makes this Italian stall in Serangoon Gardens Food Centre a really rare find. The ones here are pretty decent for a hawker centre; a light aroma of truffle which was somewhat consistent throughout and that none of the fries were soggy with oil. Comes in two sizes; small or large.
Peranakan food! One of my fav cuisine! The food at Candlenut is good. No MSG added but still bursting with flavours. Ambience is good and the service's great!
Homemade brioche fennel bread with a 28% fat beef patty. Lathered with homemade BBQ, mayonaise and tomato sauce. Thanks to chef Leandros for serving us :)
Visiting a friend's workplace today and honoured to try a sandwich he put together! The Roast Beef Sandwich here is freshly made and toasted upon order; the Ciabatta was crisp, with the various ingredients combined in a harmonious blend. Melted cheese atop juicy and tender beef slices, refreshing tomato slices, crunchy onion and brilliantly sautéed mushrooms. What's there not to love in this sandwich?
One of my favorite comfort food.
If you're looking for a simple, healthy, satisfying meal, these soups are the perfect choice. This stall in Bukit Timah Market sells 6 different kinds of soup everyday. At $3 - $4, these soups do not contain any MSG and are light and tasty. Besides the soups, also try the Steamed Pork Ribs with Black Beans ($3.50).
Serving huge portions, be sure to share your food here at Gold Food. With most dishes priced below $10, this value-for-money Thai restaurant is great for some mango salad, green curry and tom yam. Located conveniently in Sunshine Plaza, it's a great hidden gem for cheap, tasty Thai food in town.
For only $2.50 for a plate of soy sauce chicken noodles, $7 for a half chicken and $14 for a whole, this stall is super value-for-money. The queue speaks for itself, requiring a 20-minute wait. Some say it's the best and cheapest around, with flavorful skin with just the right amount of soy sauce taste, and tender meat. The noodles are great too! For just 50 cents more, upgrade to a chicken drumstick ;)
