Honestly one of the best miso based ramen I've ever had. The blend is perfect, not too salty and savory with a dollop of garlic, ginger and spring onion. Half a flavored egg and two slices of pork belly, you can't complain.
Japanese cucumber, sliced, chilled and served beautifully with their garlic and sesame dressing. A very good start!
Classic and sinfully delicious and creamy to every last strand of spaghetti.
During my birthday, I went to this restaurant twice for lunch and dinner. The manager, a friend, got me this wonderful soufflé with a little bit of their forest cake. It's simply beautiful. The vanilla cream that is added after dissecting the top of the soufflé makes it less dry as compared to others. One of my favorite dessert, and you know, I'm no dessert fan.
Sweet and thin crusted, but filled full with charsiew. Every bite is over the top. Yum!
Black garlic oil with a soft boiled egg, pork and a big piece of seaweed, this ramen is one of my favorites. Cosy and secluded, there's always a crowd in here. The eggs and beansprouts are free, and they have the Japanese baby mayonnaise as condiments, my favorite! I simply cannot resist putting them onto the hard boiled eggs. And they've their special green tea cola, which I've yet to try.
This starter is served with sautéed mushrooms and drizzled with truffle oil. The beef is marinated with shoyu and sesame oil. It didn't look fantastic, but to my surprise, it tasted fantastic. It was very tender and the combination of mushroom further enhanced the beef.
The seared scallop was served cold and it stood out alone. With or without the scallops, this bruschetta got to be the most plain one I've ever seen. I had to put on the tomato spread by myself, which was fun and interesting. The tomato paste won it for me. So simple and so damn appetizing. Other than this, I also had the avocado bruschetta. In place of the tomato paste is a small serving of chunky avocado. So fresh and delicious as a spread. It's an interesting option for a bruschetta. I love it!
Ultimately the best crab beehoon I've had in my life. The crab you choose will be cooked and boiled together with the soup. Making this broth a heavy and sinful concoction. Not only does the soup taste extremely rich, the texture is creamy and smooth. The crab is huge in size and so fresh, an additional order of the soup is a must!
There's no need for more explanation for this one. Once served, any broken soup buns will be replaced on behalf of the kitchen. And that, is amazing service and pride in their famous Xiao Long Bao. I would usually order more because there is so many ways to consume this little soup buns and one serving is not enough.
Hainanese Curry Rice is one of my favorite local comfort food. The curry gravy does not have the heavy taste of Indian curry powder or the use of curry leaves. The most important dish is the pork chop. Crisp and delicious. The marinate they use results in a glowing red batter after frying. Pretty easy to spot, must try!
I seldom enjoy my desserts. But this one served with vanilla custard is a Must Try. Served in a stone bowl, the crumble is on top instead of the usual bedding. The apple mix is appetizing and compliments the crunchy crumble top. They marry each other perfectly and sets your tastebuds on a spoon-after-spoon streak. There's no stopping on this one.
