Not So Local..
Have not been posting for a long time. Anyway, recently I had my chirashi fix at the sushi bar. Loved the generous amount of thick cuts of sashimi. However, would prefer the rice to be warmer. For ($24.90) for the normal chirashi, it is pretty affordable considering the portion of this chirashi don. nice nice nice!
Had xiao long bao (Steamed pork dumplings) and pork chop fried rice for lunch. The fried rice is so good that I can have it all day everyday!!
Yes! Victor makes real good dim sum! Came here for a late lunch with two amazing brothers. Love their liu sha bao (3 for $4.50), although theirs is more oily. Besides that, their ice milk tea ($3) is comparable to the ones in HK and I love the idea of the cup placed in a mini ice bath to prevent the drink from getting diluted. Due to increasing rental (i guess), prices of the dim sum has been increasing over the years, ranging between $3-$5 per dish. However, as long as the standard remains consistent, this will be the place for to satisfy ones dim sum craving.
Thick slices of pork, a light and tasty shio (salt) broth and springy noodles. Ramen santouka probably offers the best ramen in singapore!
This is truly a gem of a neighborhood eatery where most people living around the area will turn to for a quick thai fix. Had to queue for 30minutes(which is normal), but it was worth the wait! Dishes here are priced at around $6-$10. I like the phad thai(my fav thai dish), green curry, chicken wrapped with pandan leaves and not forgetting, ICED THAI MILK TEA!! Chinhojiak! Do come here to satisfy your thai food cravings.
