Sinful Desserts
I have been hearing my friends rave about the milkshake over at Overeasy for the longest time. Unfortunately, previous attempts to try the milkshake have all been unsuccessful: the place was too crowded, the milkshake machine was spoilt. Thankfully, the latest visit to Overeasy saw me getting a seat immediately and my milkshake. I got the Malt Milkshake and I think it did indeed live up to the expectations that I had of it. Thick milkshakes are hard to come by in Singapore and they are usually too sweet. The one at Overeasy however, was the perfect mix of thickness, sweetness and you could still taste the milk (something most places in Singapore serving milkshakes seem to lack). The Malt Milkshake came with a thick layer of Malt power on the top of the drink. It's like the Americanised version of Milo Dinosaur. I would highly recommend Overeasy to anybody looking for a good milkshake. The milkshake costs $12 but the portion is huge. The only thing I ordered was the milkshake and I spent at least half an hour or more trying to finish it. Yes, Overeasy's milkshake brings me to the yard.
Probably one of the better milkshakes that I've tasted. Sinful, no doubt, but what a sweet way to end my days of dieting. Special mention must be given to the chewy salted caramel macaron, I like it when my macarons are slightly chewy.
Are you a Panna Cotta Warrior? Light and silky, the texture of the panna cotta was already enough to leave me wanting more. But despite how I described it's texture, the panna cotta still held together very well on the plate throughout the process of it's consumption. Infused with pandan, the dish brought to mind influences from the nonya culture. What added the finishing touch to the dish was the gula melaka that was at the base of the panna cotta. It wasn't the cheap tasting but delicious gula melaka you would find elsewhere but it tasted rather rich and exquisite, which blended really well with the light texture and taste of the panna cotta. My duty as a panna cotta warrior dictates that I will be back for more.

Light, fluffy crépes layered to form this magnificent creation. I woke up in the morning craving this and can't wait to pay Lady M a visit again.
Ladies and gentlemen, Lady M has finally arrived on our sunny shores! For matcha and mille crépe lovers, the wonderful people at Lady M have combined the best of both worlds to give you the Green Tea Mille Crépe!!! The only complaints I have about my visit to Lady M is the slow service and the way the Mille Crépe was sliced. This meant that the Mille Crépe didn't hold together that well. Both the slicing and the slow service could be attributed to inexperience which I'm confident will improve with time.
Summer Berry Yogurt Tart | Recently, I've been dropping by The Coffee Daily while on my way home, buying their cakes and tarts during each visit and I've not been let down even once. I'm happy that the change in management has seen the quality of food improve by leaps and bounds. Today's TCD is a far cry from when it first began and I believe the only way they can go from here is up (hopefully not in their pricing). For a place to chill with friends and have meaningful, thoughtful conversations accompanied by good coffee and palatable desserts, I recommend The Coffee Daily. Getting a parking space might be a little difficult though.
