A must-order at Thai restaurants, I found the tom yum here addictive even though it was not as crazily spicy and sour as my ideal bowl of tom yum. This stall was recommended by my friend's lecturer who is a Thai (he had tried almost all Thai eateries in Singapore). They were generous with the seafood and I'll definitely come back for this again!
If you are looking for a less than typical brunch experience, look no further than Sin Lee. As a general fan of places that seek to bring customers new food experiences, Sin Lee certainly tops the list at the moment for doing so very successfully. This broccoli is out of this world, a perfect marriage of crisp florets, sweet coconut sugar and salty Parmesan. Never fails to generate an "mmmmm" around the table.
So simple tossed with just cod roe, spring onions, seaweed and shoyu, but it's so addictively good. Wish they'd added more protein to give the pasta more variance in flavour and texture, though.
Inspired by the Chinese New Year classic, this dish has fat rolls of salmon, lettuce, coriander, cucumber and carrot slices tossed with a piquant lime and plum sauce. Same same but different.
Green tea gelato with vodka-infused red bean sauce, red bean jam, buttery biscuit crumble, and assorted berries. Beautiful play on classic Japanese dessert flavours!

Prepared by the Itamae right in front of your eyes. Love the sight of the finishing brush of soy sauce over the meat, giving it a shiny finish.
Calpis Strawberry from the Fruity Rainbow drink menu ($4.50). A nice blend of calpis, strawberry purée and milk. Thought it would be sour but it was surprisingly sweet. Must be from the strawberry purée.
Aburi kaisen salad ($7.90). Sis @yeojess thinks it's very worth it for the price.
On the winter Hokkaido promotion menu, penthouse salmon roll. Avocado salmon and egg roll with wasabi mayo.
Fantastic. The meat speaks for itself.

Sambal stingray and clams with mixed vegetable soup for dinner. Spice up your life! The sambal was a bit spicy but manageable with my iced milo by the side.
