Some Vietnamese?
Vietnamese bread which comes with a choice of grilled pork, ham or funnily, satay. The ones I usually had along the streets of Vietnam were ham ones. This grilled pork baguette is lightly toasted with a crisp exterior and soft inside, and the sandwich is later given a healthy dose of chopped peanuts.
They sell a wide variety of fare that you see in Vietnam, from banh mi to pho to bun thit niuong. All their dishes range only from $3 to $7. I wouldn't say the food here is fantastic but is better and cheaper than some of the places out there.
Banh mi kep ga pate ($5.90). Baguette with grilled chicken and chicken pate. Sis @yeojess think it's not bad, but nothing compared to Baguette's.
Dinner to reward myself for shouting like an insane woman during the sports heats. Here at #sopho with sis and dad, trying un-pho stuff 😁
Wagyu beef and beef ball noodles ($18). A bit too salty for me.
Pork skewers were pretty good. A tad fatty but not an issue. Comes with rice paper to roll on and water to squirt on it so it will soften.
Dry sautéed lemongrass pork noodles is divine. Second visit has just confirmed this place is worth a return visit.
Not wagyu beef this time, just the normal beef slices. Tastes as good. Can't get over how awesome the soup tastes.
Grilled chicken and chicken pate banh mi
The moment I saw wagyu beef pho, I knew there wouldn't be any other choice. Possibly one of the best pho places in town.
Mango glutinous rice. Presentation was a pleasant surprise since it came in a cup. Rice was soft and flavoured with gula Melaka. Would rate this highly if the rice was warm.
Mango and papaya salad. Nothing to rave about. They had all the necessary ingredients but nothing to make it special.
