Dropped by Kuey Chap 大佬粿汁 as recommended by a friend and was surprised by the long queue even at 8pm! Added more meat & pig skin and a side of salted vegetables to my single portion, and everything costs ONLY $6.30! Their braising sauce is the deliciously savoury, old-school type I have been craving for! The innards and pork belly are flavourful yet clean-tasting without the weird gamey funk, but my favourite would be their pig skin, stripped clean of fat and braised to a QQ toothsome texture.👍🏻 I think it makes sense that the accompanying kway is plainer in taste, so you can enjoy slurping the smooth & delicate rice sheets with the braised flavours of the ingredients!
The chilli here is a 10/10, with the mild heat and extra tang satisfying your kway chap cravings even more! And the auntie is super polite and friendly - she will take her time to explain to each customer which ingredients are sold out ("对不起,今天没有**") rather than your usual curt "没有"(NO).

Located in a hawker centre, this stall only operates in the evening for dinner. There was a long queue when we were there for dinner. We had the assorted platter for 2 pax that came with pork belly, skin, stomach, fish cake, egg, tau pok, large intestines and three bowls of kway. The intestines were well cleaned with no smell at all and kway was smooth and savoury with a subtle herbal taste 》$8.90
Thought the side ingredients outshined the bowl of kway! Although the kway was smooth, it was very light in flavour and didn’t have that herbal-y punch we were hoping for. It was very affordable though, this here was $2.80! Some of the prices are - Kway ($0.60), Rice ($0.60), Large Intestines ($1.20), Small Intestines ($1.20), Pig Skin ($0.50), Ngoh Hiang ($0.80), Tau Pok ($0.50 for 2). The sides were all braised very thoroughly and intestines were cleaned out nicely. The consistent long queue moved quite slowly so it’s probably not something you want to go for if you’re looking for a quick meal.
Just some stomach warming kway without the chap. #queuefor35minseatin5mins #sghawkerfood #burpple
What are you having for Friday dinner? Didn't feel like anything fancy. Went for one of my favourite kuey chaps. Love the ngoh hiang and the flavourful chap!
Been eating this Kway Chap Store for years and it never fail me with the tastiness of all the pig intestines stuff that it offers.. Small intestines, big intestines, pig tongue, pig stomach,... No odour, tasty, juicy .. Yummy! Queued for 45mins but finished them all in 10mins! Must try for all Kway Chap lovers!
