Nasi Kukus & Nasi Kerabu is highly recommended at this hipster Malay food restaurant. The fried chicken is always juicy, tender and flavourful! Oh yeah, don't forget to mix all the sambal and curry sauce together for the best taste. It's addictive, and you have been warned :)
Food here is really tasty, reasonably priced and great customer service!
A new place to satisfy my Malay style rice dish craving.
The set Kukus Master Dulang is good to feed two hungry diner well.
Fluffy fragrant steam basmati rice, deep fried chicken leg with onion, fried veg, two egg of your choice and four type of sambal tumis. Everything done nicely to assemble this awesome plate of nasi Kukus. Can't wait to try out other item in the menu.
Kukus Stim Habis! is a Malay phrase that loosely translates to "steamy satisfaction", and here, the mischievous name does deliver. The quaint establishment glorifies nasi kukus set meals with a variety of side dishes to choose from and each set comes with a free drink (score!). For best value for money, go with the Kapitan Set (RM13.90) that's served with a ramekin of luscious curry chicken. The hallmark of their nasi kukus is the use of basmati rice, known to be a healthier alternative, so enjoy this carb-heavy meal without feeling pangs of guilt. Pro tip: There are four types of sambal with varying levels of spiciness — be sure to ask the staff for recommendations!
Avg price per person: RM15

Pictured above is a Kapitan chicken set (RM13.90), all set meals come with freshly steamed and fragrant basmati rice, a free drink and an array of side dishes that you can also add-on upon ordering. Choose your preferred egg-style or even your choice from four different sambals, ranging on levels of spiciness (rm1 per extra serving each). Fret not as the friendly staffs will be more than willing to help you out in this self-service restaurant!
Think Nasi kukus in the setting of a small cafe-styled food stall in TTDI, it surely does have a playful touch to it! Parking shouldn't be a problem as there are guarded parking lots right in front.
