Don’t these buns look like soldiers standing in rows ?
Rather than the bolo bun that most people would opt for - I would choose this fluffy bun filled with buttery and coconut-y goodness .
The hong Kongers have an interesting way of naming their food . Calling polo buns ( pineapple buns) when there is no pineapple in the buns and calling this a cock - tail bun when it rarely resembles the tail of a chicken 🐓. Why ?
Anyway - This bun is a typical traditional bread that most Bakeries in HK would sell but I find the standards here very close to the famous Mong kok bakery in HK and even better than most bakeries in Hk.
These buns are soft , moist and have a well balanced of the sweetness from the coconut and a slight savoury taste from the melted butter.
They look unassuming - just like plain buns but when you bite into them , an explosion 💥 of flavours happen in your mouth.
Best to eat them warm but they are so good - it really doesn’t matter 😊
This bakery used to be known as Imperial treasures bakery but have since changed their name to so good bakery - what a name but indeed the breads are good or rather the same standards as before.
This is my most fav coffee in sing! No bitterness. Hint of sweet. Go perfectly with the small bites from the bakery. #flatwhite #flakycroissants #chickenandmushroombun
Am turning into a loyal fan because of the bread here! With the generous red bean and taro paste nestled within a soft bun!! The coconut bun and cream cheese donut is so good too... My breakfast on a school day any day ✨✨
😄 this golden baby's from Imperial Treasure bakery. Personally our favourite egg tart in SG! Nothing beats Tai Cheong in HK though!
We all know someone who hates eating fresh cream. For me, that would be my mom and grandma. This cake is perfect for them because it contains minimal cream, yet the cake didn't taste dry because the sponge layers are soft and moist. The cake also contained a lot of mango (slices of mango wedged between the cake layers as well), which were fresh and sweet. And arranged prettily in the shape of a rose atop the cake ;) UOB card members get 20% off. (500g, $32 nett)
