Awesome looking & tasty sauce over this plate of roasted duck & roast pork belly rice.
Highly recommended!
This is the minimum order if youre ordering meat only.
Wasn't very crispy by the time I got home but can tell it's pretty good if you're dining in. The crisp is the kind with bite, not the biscuit or shattering kind. Flavourful too and not incredibly salty
The chili is heavy handed on garlic, which we enjoyed very much w the meat
Disclaimer: takeaway so probably doesn't compare at all to having it while dining in
The duck was pretty flavourful but could have been a tad more tender. Skin wasn't crispy at all by the time we got home. Pretty darn expensive for 12bucks
The sauces were lacklustre. The black sauce was very mild, and barely added anything. The sesame sauce( think it's their signature) was interesting at least, there's a strong ginger taste. The citrus sauce was very lacking in sweetness, works ok w the duck(even tho it's bad on its own)
Toa Payoh heartlanders have it good. If you happen to stay in the 120+ block area of TPY Lorong 1, you’ve no shortage of good food at reasonable prices. The dark horse is the roasted pork belly (Siew Yuk). I can mildly taste the five spice and the skin still retains a crunch. Hua Fong Kee is definitely an underrated gem of a neighbourhood eat.

After my first positive experience with their pinkish roasted pork belly, I was craving for it. I ordered 500g of it via delivery. This time, though, the meat was cold and crackling not as crisp, and meat is not as succulently pink (evident in the photo taken). Disappointed.
Not sure if the packaging had a part to play as this time, it was packed in a paperbox with their name and logo printed on it. Precisely, it as packed in a white styrofoam box, which would have helped retained the warm food longer. Plus, their roasted pork belly doesn’t come cheap. I’ll think twice and three times the next time.
