You can get $9.90 Wagyu katsu sando from the basement of Paragon. Ok not quite โ a Gyu Sando features 1 seamless cut of meat for that sensual tender bite but this variation uses a patty. For $9.90, you get a ๐ช๐ฎ๐ด๐๐ ๐ฃ๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐๐ฎ๐๐๐ ๐ฆ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ๐ผ with 1 side.
Is it worse off with the patty though? Personally, I think it's just different. You still get the robust bovine flavours but the texture just became a more rugged medley of beef punctuated with gentle scores of fat. While less smooth, this different texture actually melded into the rubble of katsu crust quite well.
Overall, it was a hearty ensemble of textures and flavours when finished with a piquant tonkatsu sauce and nice thin slices of bread. That said, the bread could be toasted better as I recall crispier bread on my last visit, and the patty's textures were a bit more inconsistent this time. But if you're looking for a solid beefy time, you can't go wrong with this interesting Gyu-Sando-Burger hybrid for an affordable price of $9.90.

This was honestly really good, and makes for great comfort food! I thought each component of the dish was well done - the bread was thick and slightly grilled, the patty was quite big and yummy, and the sauce deliciously tied everything together. The mac & cheese was pretty good also. Perhaps I was hungry when I had this, but it definitely hit the spot.
I think itโs worth a try, serving was quite big too! Thereโs about 10-15 min wait for your food.
The kiosk that promises cheap wagyu. This huge sando is only around 10 bucks with a side - rather ordinary mac & cheese. I have to compliment the portion, the toasted bread and the sauces. The juicy patty was okay but I really can't complain.
For $7 more, you get the ๐๐ค๐ช๐ง๐ข๐๐ฉ ๐๐๐๐๐ฎ๐ ๐๐ฉ๐๐๐ ๐๐๐ฃ๐๐ฌ๐๐๐ (~$18.90), which was grilled to a nice medium doneness. The thiccc milk loaves soaked up the oil wellโ a beautiful yummy mess, to say the least. ๐ฅช

OK THIS IS A STEAL. Donโt say I didnโt tell ya. For a crispy chOnky boi, get the Itโs crispy and fried to a t on the outside, covered with a salty-sour tonkatsu sauce, and sandwiched in some mean fluffy Hokkaido bread. And also 12 bux, cโmon.๐ฅฉ

amazing wagyu burger with free side.
I chose aglio olio, which was filled with mushrooms. Wagyu was juicy and full of flavor.
Wish it included a drink, but still value for money at paragon for only $10.
