I would say this is one of the best takoyaki which I have eaten thus far in my life. I am not sure whether the 12 degree celcius also plays a part in causing me to feel hungry and crave for sizzling warm food. The takoyaki texture is definitely different from those found in Singapore’s pasar malam. They are crispy on the outside yet remain soft and moist on the inside. I guess i will never be able to find the same “wow” feeling when i have takoyaki in Singapore 😢 📍 Fushimi Inari

Chicken was so tender it came off the stick easily with a bite! The charred bits gave the chicken a lingering smoky taste to it

Supposedly invented in the city of Miyazaki in Kyushu during the 1990's, nikumaki literally means 'wrapped in meat'. A large-ish riceball completely wrapped in strips of bacon-esque pork then topped with mentaiko mayonnaise was my choice out of a half dozen toppings including cheese, green onion mayonnaise, ginger and kimchi. Quell the between-meal hunger pangs with one of these.
