Fuel Plus has closed and moved to Potong Pasir under the name of Fuelx. You can check their socials for more info. Hopefully burpple updates their map soon.
Table of 4, wanted to use two 1-for-1 pasta deal but was told by cashier limited to one deal per table. Only saw this term in the 25% off deal. Didnt see such term in the 1-for-1 pasta deal though so just take note if you are going in big groups... using the 25% off would be more worth it. Food was alright... had better ones elsewhere.
Fuel Plus+ delivers a memorable dining experience with its comforting and flavorful dishes, nailing the art of comfort food with a touch of sophistication. The meal began with their Truffle Fries, perfectly crispy from the first bite to the last. These fries were elevated with aromatic truffle oil and delicate cheese shavingsโan irresistible snack to kick things off.
For the mains, the Roasted Pork Carbonara was a standout. The eggy, cheesy carbonara sauce coated the penne perfectly, with smoky bacon and tender roasted pork adding hearty flavors. Topped with a beautifully cooked sous vide egg and a sprinkle of cheese, this dish was indulgent and satisfying.
The Truffle Bacon Pappardelle was equally delightful. Wide ribbons of pappardelle were generously coated in a creamy miso truffle sauce, with crispy bacon and earthy mushrooms adding depth and texture. Each bite was rich yet well-balanced, making this dish a must-try for truffle lovers.
Finally, dessert was the highlight of the eveningโthe Homemade Apple Crumble. This crustless treat paired tender baked apples with juicy blueberries, buttered oats, and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce. Warm, sweet, and satisfying, it was the perfect ending to an indulgent meal.
No gst & service charge. Love the chilli crab sauce, shrimp was big too
Recently back to fuel plus for their delicious food items after some time and I'm happy to report that it's still as good as ever!
The Croffle & Truffle Mushroom ($19) was a total pleasure to have. The moment you have a thick rich truffle sauce and mushrooms, you know there's gonna be loads of umami. The scrambled eggs was done just right, and the Croffle was fluffy, almost like a roti prata!
Next we have the Pesto Eggs with Cajun Shrimp ($20), and being a pesto lover, this was very decent. The pesto eggs were done just right, and complemented well with their homemade sourdough. The shrimps were well grilled, and had a strong smoky flavour which was much appreciated.
Lastly we have the Grilled Seabass (~$25 with side and drink), which was very fresh and well seasoned and grilled. Each piece was very sweet and flaky, and the mashed potato was wonderfully creamy. The truffle tator tots as the side were highly addictive, due to its very crispy exterior.
Definitely no complaints with all the dishes we had, maybe just the long waiting time we had to endure before getting all our food. I'm guessing they might have a shortage of kitchen staff or just not used to large group orders! What's even better is that you can use #burpplebeyond for 30% off their food items! Will be back ๐
Menu changed in 2023, and whatever new items we tried (roast pork carbonara, bacon pappardelle and cajun chicken) were ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐
๐ miso cream salmon ($22) - cauliflower mash & spinach cream that came with? top notch. otherwise, salmon was a little fishy & kind of dry. 6/10 for the dish - gonna be a pass for us โน๏ธ
๐ salmon mentaiko mac&cheese ($16) - an absolute smash. 10/10! definitely for sharing because the mentaiko + cheese pairing could definitely cause some jelak-ness ๐โโ๏ธ still so yummy esp when warm. total flavour bomb
๐ matcha banana pancakes ($17) - HUGE serving! 3 entire pancakes, some bananas & strawberries + a huge scoop of matcha ice cream. ice cream had q a bitter note to it (means real matcha? ๐คฉ) & pancakes had slight matcha+banana taste to it. 8/10! would be great if it came with a side of maple syrup to go w the leftover pancake once the toppings were finished ๐คญ
total bill $55, no ++, final bill $41.25 after burpple discount. could definitely feed 3 girlies w the portions above so super worth! v friendly staff, defo do give them a visit ๐๐ป
A good plate of carbonara :) Repeat customer and enjoyed most of the food items in Fuel Plus.
Got this twice! I really liked the mushroom soup and how the flavours and textures of the items in this dish complement each other :) I wonder if the fried lotus root could be less oily though.
I remember that their sodas were really refreshing (tried twice before). Ordered again today but it was way too sweet this time! Struggled to get through the drink.
Both dishes were reasonably yummy. Good with burpple deal of 30% total bill.
I like the salmon which was well seasoned but would prefer the skin to be more crisp since it was pan fried. Baby potatoes and zucchini were good!
For carbonara, there was good amount of bacon bits to bring some saltiness to the dish. Usually prefer taste thicker cream sauce, but maybe it was good that the sauce was not too thick so less jelat when shared.
Carbonara: 7/10
Salmon madness: 7/10
with 30% off, this dish was super worth!! salmon was thick and juicy, not overcooked and went really well with the miso carbonara! served ontop mashed potatoes, this dish was really filling and enjoyable
with 30% off these drinks, it was super super worth!! i got the honey grapefruit and strawberry lime and both were super refreshing and not too sweet!
this seems so unassuming but i was wow-ed upon taking a bite.... the veggies were fried to perfection, not oily yet super crispy and was seasoned lightly! topped with thick mentaiko sauce, this made an excellent, tasty starter while being slightly guilt free cuz its veggies LOL
with 30% off everything this place is extremely affordable and serves food of excellent quality!! i always get their chicken overload - crispy panko chicken ontop of mashed potatoes and mushroom soup, this combi goes super well together and is very filling!!
Another yummy meal
Portion - 5/5
Taste -4/5 tomato paste Abit too sweet for my liking
Presentation -5/5
My friendโs and I headed on over to Fuel Plus for the first time and it was quite enjoyable. :-)
I got the Salmon Madness and honestly itโs good but more on the healthier side so not much provision of gravy or bold flavors of the sorts. However, I really did enjoy the strawberry mint ice tea ๐ ๐ซ ! Very refreshing on this hot day.
My friends got the chicken overload and the soft shell crab curry and those two were really good! The chicken came with mushroom sauce on top and the crab came with a bed of thick, spicy curry. Definitely recommend those two over the salmon :-) Also, do try the truffle tater tots as well!
We were also able to use the 30% beyond deal so it was quite an enjoyable time for a Sat lunch. ๐
