Was at Taman Jurong Food House and chanced upon a long queue for Fong Hup Koka Noodle, so we decided to try it!

Luckily we were not rushing for time, because it took 30minutes from the long queue to order, and the long wait to wait for food to be prepared!

Got the Koka Noodle with seafood soup ($6) and Mee Hoon Kueh Noodle Soup ($4.50). This outlet reminds me of the famous kekoumian stall in Bukit Panjang (but the queue wait for that is even more insane)!

Between the seafood and non-seafood version, I preferred the non-seafood version! The minced meat was nicely marinated! On the other hand, the seafood items all tasted bland to me. Soup was comforting!

They seem to have many outlets all over Singapore! Head to the nearest Fong Hup Koka Noodle near to your home to try now!

Comforting option in the recent rainy weather. Smooth congee that’s just the right in between of thick and silky, mixed evenly with runny egg, flavoured minced pork, and savory century egg/ sweet peanut. Aside from the doughy and heavy youtiao, we had no complaints about the porridge.

We also tried their Sheng Mian and enjoyed the rich soup broth and firm noodles. That said, the nearby Toa Payoh Lor 8 Seletar Sheng Mian is just a touch better.

📍Fong Hup Koka Noodle, multiple outlets around Singapore (Toa Payoh, Bukit Merah, Bukit Panjang, AMK, Hougang, Tampines, Woodlands, Canberra)

We were thrilled to find a new addition to the Bangkit Market area and one of the new stalls was Fong Hup Koka Noodles! We ordered the Tom yum seafood koka noodles as it was supposed to be their bestseller and for $5.50, it was pretty great! The tomyum soup had the right balance between sour and spicy, and it also had the right thickness. The dish came with a pretty generous serving of sliced fish, minced pork and prawns as well! The noodles were also just right and they retained the springy texture in the soup! 😋

We had to wait around 10 minutes for our noodles to be ready as there was quite a long queue, although we think the waiting time was still manageable. Worth a try if you are in the area and we think it's honestly not too different from the famous Bukit Panjang Ke Kou Mian (Hai Xian Zhu Zhu).
